I never understood the link red meats (grass fed) and fibroids. I have fibroids and I have a genetic predisposition. I eat red meat. My fibroids are big but asymptomatic. My mom had to have a hysterectomy way younger than I am. She had red meat sporadically and had really bad symptoms like bleeding a pain. Her first cousin had fibroids with bad symptoms as well but she could not afford surgery so she waited for menopause. My cousin was a…VEGAN!!! I am not understanding why they keep blaming red meat for EVERYTHING!!! Without real research done. I’m not blaming anyone but can we stop this red meat shaming?

No shaming here. But unfortunately we don’t have much in the realm of fibroid prevention. They found some associations, doesn’t mean it’s the end all answer for those struggling with fibroids👍🏼

I am not sure of the specifics but if it is muscular pain, one could try heat packs and stretch , maybe some magnesium at night

Flaxseed mimics estrogen in the body. Stay away from Flaxseed if you have fibroids. It will cause them to grow bigger

It’s not entirely understood if phytoestrogens or exogenous estrogens exactly correlate with fibroid growth.

Unfortunately I do not have evidence to say Wild Yam Cream works in any way. But it likely wouldn’t hurt to try. It is different that the Yam or sweet potato you mentioned. Hope this helps

Am dealing with fibroids got diagnosed in 2017 just had a Doctor's appt today to see if they have gotten bigger which they have one of them the size they said 10 .9 cim the other few are 5.2 or 2 cim am not trying to go the way of surgery.but i did ask the Doctor were there any Natural things i could go about dealing with the pain am experiencing now. Am 50 years old. Am not dealing with Heavy periods because my periods they come and go i just had a period in March after it went away for 5 months. So we're in the month of May now haven't seen my period since March. But am going through pain mainly in my abdominal area on my left side were am experiencing pain.

Thank you for the question. Glad to hear the bleeding isn’t a symptom! If there is no other cause for the pain, it may be the fibroids… which often it is a discussion and depends how bad the pain is. You could certainly try these options but by no means is it a guarantee it will work. Menopause may shrink them, but they likely will never go away. If the symptoms are disruptive to enough, I would often encourage someone to consider minimally invasive surgery. But if the pain isn’t too much, you have time to try other remedies.

Curious would taking DIM help? I know when I had a large fibroid it was removed last year it helped with symptoms. I now have two more they are small 1 and 1.5 cm with a normal size uterus.

Not sure about Dim shrinking fibroids; however, I used to only have 1-2 periods per year, then I started taking DIM and within a few months, I started having periods each month. It has been over 14 years and my period is still coming each month. I now take DIM 3 to 4 times per week for 2-3 weeks and then cycle off for 1-2 weeks.

Thank you for the message. Whether to treat it may depend on a number of things. Does it cause symptoms? desire for pregnancy? We will be talking more in the near future about choosing a surgery. If you haven’t, start looking for a surgeon that manages large fibroids.

@@myopinion1773 Thats great! I know castor oil is used a lot for its anti-inflammatory effects. I dont have enough scientific evidence to recommended its use for everyone but it would be a very low risk option if someone wanted to try!

Dear dr.pls reply me i will be greatful...herw my story is...i have heavy bleeding n pain during periods so i went to dr an ayurveda doctor..she suggest ultrasound n dignosed with uterine fibroid. She start medicine and after 3 month again ultrasound where there is no change in size.but my heavy bleeding n pain reduce 99 percent..during medicine once i feel extreme pain n some big clots of blood passes through vagina..3 very big clot .after that my periods normal n no pain...still size of fibroid is same.24×16mm 22×13 mm is size..does this size of fibroid need surgery or not?.i am 39 year happily married with 2 kid 19 year n 11 year..pls suggest me when i need surgery ..pls answer i wil b e thankful to you sir..from india

Thank you. I cannot give actual advice without being my patient. However, It matters where the fibroid is located. If it is submucosal, hysteroscopy is good idea. If not, it may not be the fibroid causing the symptoms. I would consider hormonal iud or if done having kids endometrial ablation or hysterectomy if the bleeding continues to be a problem

If they aren’t causing a lot of symptoms, it would be reasonable to try. But if you are having a lot of symptoms, may need another treatment

Question can you only get egcg in green tea? How do we know how many mg we are getting of egcg from green tea? Since they gave -150-300mg daily? -vit D 25-50 mg daily -B6 5-10 mg daily

EGCG is in its highest concentration in teas, specifically the greens. The amount can vary a bit, I’ve seen 50-200mg in a serving. You will likely get a more consistent dosage with a supplement. Thank you for the question!

Thank you for the question and following our channel. From the limited studies actually done, there may be a minimal increased risk for a few outcomes such as difficulty getting pregnant, miscarriage or cesarean section, etc. Your pregnancy will likely just need to be monitored closely with your Doctor. It would be a good idea to have a visit with your doctor before becoming pregnant. My guess is that overall their concerns will be minimal. Congratulations on your wedding and future!
