My go-to look for city wear and travel includes Scott-e-Vest’s cargo-style clothing, with lots of pockets that don’t all look like cargo. I started with a vest, but now I rely on the short jacket with zip-off sleeves - inner pockets can carry laptop, water bottle, umbrella, passport - or winter parka. Their cargo pants have a weird foldover waist but are good work pants when on medical rounds.

I love your videos! I must say that I get suggestions from KZbin to watch other fashion videos much more frequently now. The stylists don't resonate with me like you do, but I do think that KZbin as a platform may be taking away from your viewership growth with the frequency of alternative channel suggestions. The "negative" videos are funny and very good at snapping a woman out of depressing dressing habits. Sometimes you do need a push. I have grown so much by watching your dos & don'ts videos. I'd like to see dressing tips for different body types using different models. You can still present the don'ts lovingly & then the dos. I find that people treat me differently now that I'm older. Knowing how to dress fashionably helps keep me from being "invisible" to younger people. You are helping women with your videos. I'd also like to see more affordable brands mentioned. Most people don't have the money to buy Veronica Beard pieces, as beautiful as they are. Keep on doing what you are doing. I recommend yiur channel frequently.

Your channel has so much integrity. Thanks for being intentional and doing business with what aligns with your higher values. I love cargo pants so I'm curious to try cargo dresses/skirts/rompers (a little hesitant being too boxy on my 5"2 bottom heavy frame). For now, I can rock my tan cargo pants. I have white ones I haven't worn yet, but will do soon. I'm more conscious now of pairing it with something more feminine up top. (I definitely was not thinking about things like that 30 years ago wearing them in the 1990s). Hooray for Erin for cultivating joy in yourself and others! I'm happy to share your channel!

Dear Erin, totally agree with your approach on dressing up and fashion in general. Indeed us middle aged women have so many challenges in our daily lives (some less, some more, family, career, whatever) so why not spice it all up with fashion to create the best version of ourselves! I share your channel a lot! I have been watching you for years. I have always loved fashion and it so nice to have you as my guide to the newest trends, so I don’t have to really pay too much attention to it. That being said, I have noticed that much of what you show is so very expensive for the average person. Many people I try to share your channel with, get discouraged when they see what you are wearing and they don’t have the time to try and find dupes. I don’t mean to bring negativity, hoping just some positive feedback!

Erin - I've been a subscriber and fan of your channel for some time. Love your content and am grateful for your commitment to women, fashion, and feeling good while looking good. As a life coach I have talked to MANY clients regarding the marketing dilemma you mentioned in this video. People are motivated (even when choosing which video to click on) by moving away from pain/suffering or towards pleasure/happiness. Unfortunately, most people will do more to move away from pain than toward pleasure. That doesn't mean we shouldn't keep getting better at messaging the things/tools we find important. So kudos to you for putting that idea out to your viewers. Clothes and fashion are most certainly great tools to help us feel more of what we want to feel and less of what we don't. It's important for us all to focus more on what we DO want versus what we DON'T want. The brain doesn't hear "don't." It's like standing over the golf ball before hitting your par 3 shot over a body of water and onto the green. If one says "do not hit the ball into the water" it almost always goes in the water. 😂Instead, try "hit a nice high shot and land softly on the green." Our fashion headlines should do the same for us. And BTW, moving away from pain isn't sustainable; it fades. It's moving toward pleasure/happiness that keeps us moving in the right direction. THANK YOU for leading the way for more positive headlines and self-image for us all.
