Such adorable babies!!!! Our Chi was four months old, 2lb.4oz. & a really picky eater, turned down all the Puppy food we offered so started giving him baked or boiled chicken. Then we found out he liked our adult Boston’s food so we let him eat it. Vet told us it was OK but to make sure he got the calories he needed but no Pork cause it would tear his stomach up ;so OK. I was eating Bacon and he jumped up from laying beside me grabbed a piece of Bacon from my hand as I was fixing to bite it & that was that, no going back, his favorite food. If he doesn’t get 2 pieces of Bacon a day he throws a tantrum; this is true, I promise & it never has bothered his stomach. After he started that he finally started growing & now weighs 5lbs 8 oz. and the Vet said he’s perfect so I guess it’s not so bad.

My puppies could choke on pieces of chicken at this age. I never give bacon because I had a chihuahua die years ago from pepperoni. It was only a half a piece too! Some dogs can tolerate pork, but some do die unfortunately. It was so sad. I brought her immediately to the emergency vet, but she still died.

Glad to see lil' troopers' siblings are doing well. Been thinking about you wondering how you're doing after working so hard for that little guy! Looks like you have plenty to keep you busy and thinking of other things. Anyway, hope you and the zombies are all doing well. Do the mommy and daddy realize that they lost one, if so, how can you tell?

Thanks, I am doing a lot better. The mommies don’t realize if they lose one. If they lose an entire litter, it’s really sad though. They look all over for them. Sometimes I want to give a puppy from a mom that only had one to another mommy to make my life easier, but I don’t do it for that reason. They really take it hard. Poor sweet babies.
