There is one I have found most useful that I learned in school, making multiple copies of the prefs in the Maya folder and when Maya starts acting up, delete the original “prefs” and rename one of the copies as “prefs”, works great

That's a good tip. I usually reset my settings, but if you have precious scripts you want to keep, this option is a good one. :)

6:42 Another method is by selecting the root joint in the Outliner like you did and then holding right-click anywhere in the scene to bring up a menu and then selecting "Select Hierachy." Great tips! 😎

There are several ways. One way could be adding noise, or using life/death of a particle to drive color. I'm not too familiar, but I hope that helps.

One issue I often get in maya is with the arch trcker or any motion trail... I have keys and in the graph editor everything is clean, but then the curve in the motion trail is strange even if there is no key in some places, it is way too stange, but i have nothing is worse... so i ended up with a messed up motion trail, please, Does anyone have this problem? if so, is there asolution?

Face, vertex, edge OK, what vertexface?

Vertex Face is great! If you have any overlapping geometry, it looks like a thin line. It's a great way to check your geometry. :)

Reset a custom workspace is different from reset a built-in workspace. When you make changes to custom workspace, it simply auto saves itself. So even if you reset your custom workspace, it won't go back to the original state.
