great tutorial however im having a problem with maya 2023. i cannot render a sequence. i can only render 1st shot. so if i have 1-40 shots for an animation and hit render sequence, it renders 40 shots of the first frame. how do i fix this? its driving me crazy

I just remembered a question I had In Maya viewport it shows the reflectivity of a material That sometimes make Maya slow... Do you know how can I hide that?

What do you mean exactly? Sounds like a problem with your system rather than Maya.

I'm not sure, it could be a system issue. Are you using Arnold rendering in the viewport? I would suggest to keep to in at Viewport 2.0 Otherwise, you might want to stay in default shaded (press number 5 in keyboard), to make sure your computer doesn't slow down. I hope that helps!

I have a question. Do you know why maya crashes when I try to do render sequence? After the 9th frame it just crashes.

I'm sorry to hear that Maya is crashing. Usually Maya crashes is either your computer is over heating (like a laptop), or it's ran out of some resource like Ram. It could also be something wrong with your 9th frame, which sounds odd but I've seen it happen. Have you tried starting your render in frame 10? You can render frame 9 locally. I hope that helps!

If you would like to use GPU, go to your Render Settings, under the System tab>Render Device choose GPU. Make sure to crank up your samples! Hope that helps

I'm using maya software to render but for some reason none of the frames are saving to any folder I choose. I've tried making a new project folder and using a different file type but no matter what settings I tweak it never works. I also have a strange issue where I can only dave my scene with the save as option. No other option saves the scene properly.

Hi Meenu, make sure you are going to Render Sequence and not Batch Render. Batch render will give you a water mark. Render Sequence is the way to go!

That's a great question. In your render settings, instead of starting your frame at 0, start at the last image it rendered. I hope that helps!
