The unofficial story about the Easter egg is that the engines with the plate on the intake manifold were originally intended to be used in C7 Corvettes. Legend says as C7 Corvette production wound down, they ended up with a few too many hand built LT1 engines. Since the 6th gen Camaro is the only other vehicle that uses the LT1 Chevrolet decided to reallocate them to Camaros. There's a thread about it in the Camaro6 forums. Last I checked these "Corvette" engines were mostly used for manual transmission SS and 1LE Camaros, at the tail end of the 2020 model and the beginning of the 2021 production period. My 2021 2SS was built in October 2020 and does have the plate with the engine builder's name on it.

Skip shift used to be an issue for me but now I’ve just gotten used to it. As far as weird things, how about the fact that the seats don’t recline all the way? Blows my mind! Earlier in the year I performed the seat mod and it has helped out tremendously.

See the link below. It is by no means easy! I did used s low powered grinder and it took me an entire weekend. If Oh I were to do it again I would get my hands on something more powerful, at the same time keep in mind that it gas to be a very small disk or else you’re going to damage the surrounding area. Once you get down to the pin you will probably have to use a drill to get the pin out completely. Or at least completely loose. For me it was a no brainer mod. www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508848

If you stay in first gear a little longer the skip shift won't engage. All you need to defeat the skip shift is a 2200 ohm 1 watt resistor to trick the computer. You just the resistor in the connector and tape it up. I did this on my 2000 Z/28 when I bought it. I also have a 2015 Camaro SS that I bought new and I haven't put in the resistor. The skip shift almost never comes on with how I drive. The resistor is cheap under a 1 dollar. You should remove the air bag warning stickers on your visors. I did do that when I bought my 2015 SS. I wasn't easy but the interior looks so much better without those yellow and white stickers.

Varying the engine rpm is what is meant, not the car's speed. Also, decelerate as much as accelerate. Helps the rings to to form to the cylinders correctly. Change the oil @ 500mi and 1500mi. I would go up to 5k during 1000-1500 mi mid power only. Then you are good to rip and should.

I own a 2014 2 SS but Mine is a Auto , my motor is a L99 and it has AFM system ( Active fuel management ) , it will put my car into 4 cyl mode under "light Load " , so a lot of Camaro owners who have a auto does a Delete kit ( which is expensive as H ) or the get a Module ( Range ) that will keep the car in 8 cyl at all times , I brought mine used and had to replace the engine ( it seized on me 24 months into owning it ! ) and didn't want to break it in just like you said , so I used a Diablo Module for the "break in " period for my " new " engine " and then , when back to letting the computer run it , I will probadly do a DOD total delete one day and get the car Cammed , headers , Pro charger but the "motor " is still under warranty and I don't want to lose it by adding major Mods

Under 4k rpm and 80mph until 500miles. 5500rpm max and 100mph max until 1500miles. Autos pinning a gear revving out or down from high rpms is a no no. First oil change 700-1000mile range. I did mine around 750-800miles. Im also looking to change oil and diff fluid Ams Oil at 1700-2500miles. Then 5k miles after that. After 7500miles, youve set the wear for the motor life. Mostly run the bottom end of the dyno run to, you are building your power curve. Thats why these cars range from 390whp-410whp factory tune dyno. Most of it is all in how you break a motor in. Mines a 22 10spd 1LE. I went 1SS for weight. Im not going to lie. For a dual power band, this car is tricky on the top end to find the power curve for traction and drawing out of traction. Ive driven a SRT6 Crossfire, 94 B4C Camaro and this 22 Camaro as personal cars. Driven and rode in a ton of badass cars. Mine is staying completely stock with Cold Air intake and thats it. I didnt get the car the way I ordered it, but the cia and trunk mat were on back order. I get this car in the beginning of Oct. Im currently at 1655 miles. Trying to get to 1850 before they salt the roads. I want to change out fluids before I park it to wait out the salt.

GM is SOOO terrible at marketing. I have been a long time fan of the brand for various, sometimes illogical reasons, and in my 20 or so adult years following the company, I have never seen them market a product properly. They make sooo much good stuff recently, Cadillac in general, Camaro gen5 and more so gen 6, corvette since c5, their interior quality etc etc. The last "marketing" that I remember from GM is those super lame, obviously staged "randos talking about the current CUV" adds or whatever. They always funded Corvette racing pretty good, so I can't hate on them cause for me that helped me understand the brand, but they do nothing to get regular people excited about their cars, performance cars in particular. There are more letters than L T S R Z and V, also cars can be called things other than seemingly(to people who are not obsessed with the brand) random numbers and letters

The 1 to 4 skip shift is not unique to the Camaro, the C7 had the same setup. A minor inconvenience that saves the buyer at least $1,000. As far as the breaking period goes 1,500 miles isn't a huge deal for me. The location of the fuel access is meaningless to me, there's an arrow on the fuel gauge to remind you what side it's on. The Easter Egg is a carryover from C7 manufacturing where some C7 engines got transferred to Camaros for logistic purposes. As far a trunk access goes the gen 6 has a pretty huge trunk for a sport / muscle car. The ride and handling of the gen six are amazing and the interior is a significant improvement over the gen 5. In fact it was the horrific interior on gen 5 Camaros and C6 on down corvettes that kept me from buying either. I personally went with the A10 over the manual so all that fuel economy shifting is done for me when all I want to do is cruise. Never has the car seemed bogged down on a slow start. I love my 2022 LT1.

Every mechanic here’s gonna tell you the same. If you don’t have a problem after 500 miles. It’s unlikely you’ll have it at 1500. If you ride the rev limiter at 100 or 10,000 miles. Probably gonna have problems. Lol. But as far as breaking it in.. you’re doing just that. Making sure everything is coefficient and corresponding correctly. I’m not knocking engineers either. But if you work with them. Typically they’re all book smart and less common sense. Over or under looking real world scenarios and problems. Find and trust a veteran mechanic. Someone who deals with engineering’s finest on a day to day basis and just keep a solid relationship with him. Better than any warranty. Just an opinion of course
