I have read "Rebel Witch" by Kelly-Ann Maddox cover to cover twice already to do the abundance of exercises in it and it has created so many pages of notes. I also love to recommend "The Heart of Understanding" by Thich Nhat Hanh and "Earth Magic" by Scott Cunningham. Both are fairly short but so impactful in my practice.

I hadn't heard of the woman you mentioned but I will follow the link. Thank you for that info. I also hadn't heard of the books you mentioned. I'll be looking into those as well. The best book I've read in a long while is American Brujería. I've long since left my Catholic roots in the past but there was a ton of stuff, practices, that came down my mom's maternal side. I'm on the hunt for a good herbal book. Lately, Cunningham's Encyclopedia is leaving a lot to be desired, especially now that I'm growing my own stuff. Such is life, right? Be well and I hope you have a fabulous weekend! ❤

The most important book I've read in my practice is "The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching" by Thich Nhat Hanh. It was recommended to me by another witch, and it's been an integral part of my healing journey and provided a strong basis for a lot of the things I do! Although it's not necessarily a witchy book, everyone can find deep wisdom from it. So much food for thought regarding meditation and grounding practices, too. I think a lot of practices share so many integral qualities, and Thich's writing and advice can have such a strengthening effect on anyone's particular practice, whatever brand it may be. 🦋

Honestly the books that have contributed the most to my practice are not witchcraft books. Women Who Run with the Wolves, Goddesses in Everywoman and The Work (by Byron Katie) come into mind. All three kind of are about alchemy to me. Also Jungian studies have really helped me understand the language and energy of symbols which has helped me in spellcrafting, dream interpretation, animal messages and the shamanic aspect of witchcraft.

Mandatory books necessary for practical traditional Goetic witchcraft and Magic within my coven (and they are amazing books!)--> 1. Mastering Witchcraft, Paul Huson. Amazing, detailed. Intense. Powerful. 2. Initiation into Hermetics, Franz Bardon. Wow. Just wow. 3. The Witches Bible. Janet/Stewart Farrar. Beautiful and powerful rituals. 4. Traditional Witchcraft; Gemma Gary. Her other books--> “the devils dozen”, and “the black toad”, are amazing. 5. Working Conjure, Sen Moise. Excellent book on Conjure-> but this one does use the Psalms quite a lot. I can also add that Josephine McCarthys 3 Quareia books on Magic are excellent, but VERY detailed. (Can take up to 7 years to complete- only for the serious student). 6. Quareia : Apprentice; Initiate ; Adept.

Hello!! Book hack>>>>>> In positive Magick by Marianne Weinstein, she says you call in all the elements in order to create a space where all the elements are *one*, with you sitting in the center, and it pulls you into the mindset where "all time is now , all space is here." That is so sad. I am going to see if I can catch it on Saturday. But if I can't my thoughts are with Trina and her husband. I would love to purchase some stuff but I know I can't as you I have already said I do live with non witchy people and they don't believe so my path is kind of in secret. I do read my tarot cards though and light that candle of morning at 3.00am and when I light that candle I will send my healing thoughts them. I just have Book Depository and my wish list is so full but I am getting them. One step at a time right. so far two books I already have on my list. I have gotten quiet a few books you have recommended and I am slowly getting to read them. As I am a slow reader. It takes time for me to get through them all. I don't have any favourites because I love to learn no matter what book is and at the moment I am reading Messages From Spirit by Georgina Walker and wow it is a really good book and she gives little bits tips in what to do at the end of each chapter. The chapters are short which for me is really good as I am tend get through the book more and I so enjoying this book and I think others might also. Eventually this book plus others will be on my channel. I don't tend to show myself but I will show what I have read and boxes from witches Roots or anyone else's if I get them. Thanks for showing your favourites. Stay safe and Blessed be.

Hello Owlvine! I am interested in Jason Miller's spellcasting book. I know very little about herbs. I do have Lewellyn's Ceremonial Magick book and I was reading the chapter on Kabbalah. They recommended The Wisdom of the Zohar by Isaiah Tishby. It is said that the Sefer Zohar is extremely difficult to read, but take your time doing so. I ordered this book and it is coming tomorrow. It is over 1700 pages, English translation. The actual book is 20,000 pages. It takes several lifetimes to master by the best scholars. But it is supposed to be the core of Kabbalah. I am also reading about Nocturnal Witchcraft and the history of witchcraft in the British Isles. Your video and book recommendations are wonderful!! Thanks for the upload!!

Hello dear sister and hello to everyone else😘 you said there is a book you wanted but it's pricey. I didn't catch the name of the book. I'm interested in what book it is. Maybe a old witch that has grown to love another witch might be able to buy a book for both of them. Let me know. Have a wonderful night. I also want to send love and strength to our sister in need. I couldn't imagine the pain she is going through. Lots of love from my family to yours.

I’ve got Honoring the Ancestors & Hoodoo Herbs on my shelf yet to read this year! But first comes Rebel Witch by Kelly-Ann Maddox. But my favourite practical magic books already read this year have been Working the Roots by Michele E Lee and The Book of Candle Magic by Madame Pamita. Waking the Witch by Pam Grossman is an all time favourite but it’s more history and theory than practice.
