I think Sevy would do great on a team like the rays, they sign him a short term deal that isn’t a lot of money and do what they do best, develop players, they seem to always turn pitchers around for the better. I think that move would be best for him, I wish him the best!

I'd keep Higashioka over Trivinio. Trivinio isn't that great. Plus, he's injury prone. Higashioka is durable. I'd go with Wells and Higashioka next year.

Trivinio is a better hitter and good behind the plate higashioka has played how many seasons with high expectations . Batting .6 in ST just to bat under .200 for the season .

Totally agree 1-5…you spot on with Montas - cashman will explore rebound deal with him, but he should go somewhere else. I like IKF but believe he is gone due to his cost as well…someone will give him a multi year deal. I can’t imagine they bring back Bader even on a 1yr redemption deal…But I could absolutely see them bringing Jordan Montgomery back next year😂

I would say Severino comes back and goes to the bull pen, in him you have a pitcher who can start a game here and there. I think he still has good stuff. As for Stanton you are correct he goes even if the Yankees have to eat part of the contract. Boone I am on the fence, if the team stays healthy his name would not even be mentioned as on the way out.

I have been a Bombers fan since the 1970s and when we returned in the 1990s the Yankees were a joy to follow. But over the last decade the Yankees have by-past what always got them to the top. Pitching and defense. Their side stepping of this motto has been very frustrating. The Boss is spinning in his grave at the way his son is destroying this family heritage. The Yankees need to go back to the Gene Michaels strategy that produced a three-peat championship team and the answer is pitching and defense with intelligent hitting. All of this the administration has abandon and until they get it back you can expect more disappointing seasons…

Possible managers Craig Counsel is good. I do not think he would be comfortable in NY. I think Mattingly would be a good choice. The Yankees may consider bringing Girardi back. We are going to be in a re building phase for the next couple of years. Stanton needs to go but the contract is the problem. He has done nothing. He is batting around/under 200 and he is one dimensional. He is always hurt and inconsistent. German is a head case. Severino cannot stay healthy was erratic in 2023. Boone needs to go. The Yankees have underachieved with Boone. 2019 was his best year but could not get past Houston. Boone will not take Yankees to WS. The whole coaching staff has to go. Yankees need a close triumvirate like Torre Zimmer and Stottlemeyer. Those guys held the team together from 1996- 2001 and were a calming and stabilizing influence on the team.

I would move Jose Trevino before I moved Higashioka. Both have the same talents, Higgy has more pop. Austin Wells would be my starter against righties, and Higgy would be my starter against lefties. Rortvedt would be sent back to AAA. Dude can't hit at all. Everyone else you mentioned I agree with. I would not resign Clay Holmes either.

I know IKF is not the greatest player and has been subpar at times but it seems like he is about the only contact hitter on the team. It seems the Yankees only try to get players that are home run hitters which ends up being a lot of strike outs. You can’t move runners around the bases if everybody is always striking out.

They'll regret if they let Higgy walk, the third best clutch hitter in the team, good defense, always healthy and available, experienced and good clubmate. Trevino is injury prone, Wells hasn't shown anything besides the moustache and Rortvedt even less. Actually, Higgy should be the starting catcher, with more at bats he now would have 20-25 homers and 70-80 rbis.

I'm not a Yankees fan by any stretch of the imagination but I can tell you that I think number one definitely should not have been Aaron Boone I definitely think that Giancarlo Stanton is the one that has to go. He has been a financial black hole in terms of his contract and is hitting is just so sporadic and there was a clip I saw this year of him running from Third Base to home with all the time in the world and he walk slightly fast. It was the most bare minimum effort crap that I have ever seen in my life. I can't imagine how a Yankees fan felt. Because I was pissed off about it. It's disrespectful to your teammates and is definitely disrespectful to your opponent's to not give them everything because they're giving everything for you.

I'm surprised Boone was back this year. They have regressed in the playoffs every year he's been in charge and now we're missing them altogether. Last year they couldn't lose in the first half, couldn't win in the second. Right after the All-Star break, the Astros came in, punched the Yanks in the face and took their lunch money. They haven't been the same team since. Counsel would do a good job, but I think they should hire Don Mattingly. He's experienced now, having managed twice before, and LA is no picnic. And he's Yankee through and through. DO NOT, under any circumstances, hire Derek Jeter. I know that's sacrilege, but his track record as Marlin GM is nothing special. It would be a media circus and we need to put a better product on the field.

Attaching a prospect to Staton in a trade would help ease the pain and team may be more inclined to take on the contract similar to IKF and Dondalson. Would suggest Sweeny the infield prospects are clogged with volpe and peraza. Don't see him making the team anytime soon less they trade Torres too

This is VERY well done. Boone is not at fault one bit for this stiff one dimensional roster. The rotation has to be addressed Cole, Rodon, Cortez (another bad body injury prone guy), Schmidt....I have a sleeper for someone that has to be let go. Whoever is in charge of strength and conditioning. I have never seen a team struggle with injuries more than this team. Dominguez even got hurt. They may be TOO big...but regardless they need to make a change in philosophy in this area. Good video though

This team will not make the World Series until one of two things happen. 1. Brian Cashman is fired, or 2. Hal Steinbrenner sells the club. Cashman has been with the club for over 20 seasons and only has one World Series ring. They need Theo Epstein badly. Hal is not like his dad. He would never take this kind of underachievement from the team. Find someone who cares and understands what it takes to be a winner and they’ll be back.

Stanton says that he will work to improve things this off season. Really. At his age how do you improve your speed . He hits into 2 many doubleplays. At his age how do you improved your batting average. He cannot hit the low outside slider. He is destined to stay below the mendoza line. Hitting under 200. Pay him and send him elsewhere.
