i'd say that Snell, Ohtani, and Soto are pretty much off the table given the financial picture. Once you add in the contracts for all the arbitration eligible players, you probably only have 10-15 million of pre tax threshold room. So anything big is immediately over the line. Bellinger is a strong contender, and probably makes the most sense to spend a bit on for the Yanks. i could also see some mid-tier starters (10-12 mil/year range) to thicken up the rotation depth. I'd like to see them sign Hyun-Jin Ryu to a cheap deal. That surgically repaired arm has seemed fine in his few starts back, and he could be a great value pick-up.

Thanks for the video. As much as I love Soto, way too expensive in regards to farm system trades and free agency price tag. If there is one thing we have learned from the Baltimore Orioles, is the farm system will eventually pay dividends. We have a great group of young talent headed our way and I think the team is only going to get better. These final games have already proven this. I think the addition of one more pitcher and Cody Bellinger would have the Yankees ready for the 2024 season. Thanks again for the video and GO Yankees!!!

Not quite, considering the Judge contract Ohtani might be out of reach even for the Yankees. As you know the Yanks are desperately in need of left handed hitters and even though Ohtani does bat left handed the Yanks would be better advised to spend what it would take to lock in Ohtani by obtaining two other really good players elsewhere for the same price. After this abysmal season obviously the team requires a complete revamp from upper management down. The Cashman and Boone era has run its course and this is a really old team. What more will it take to prove that Cashman (with his many disastrous trade failures) cannot recognize young talent capable of delivering consistent quality baseball. The entire team with the exception of a few is a major disappointment and both Cashman and Boonie should pay the price. This is the New York Yankees for God's sake and the city does not deserve this never ending level of sub par catastrophic play.

Bellinger and Yamamoto make the most sense. Lee would be a consolation prize. Bellinger can play Center while Dominguez is out, then slide over to left field or first base when rizzo is gone. Soto makes sense in free agency, not via trade. Ohtani would be perfect, but i don't think he wants to be a Yankee. Plus, they won't be able to move Stanton. Lee would mean they have to trade Florial and or Everson. Im okay with that as Lee is an impressive contact hitter. The problem is Hal Steinbrenner does not believe in increasing payroll. He won't increase it because he won't admit he already made bad purchases, ie stanton. I think you can convert King to replace Severino and try to sign Yamamoto, Bellinger, and Lee. Ohtani isn't coming and im concerned with his 2 TJ surgeries already, Snell is an illusion of greatness, and Soto doesn’t make sense via trade.

If Stanton can be dealt and Bellinger becomes an FA, he might be a good signing. They need someone to get on base in front of Judge so the Yankees should inquire about Luis Arraez. I dont know if people remember but Bellinger was one of the players who said to the media altuve stole the mvp from judge. It seems to me judge and cody would get along amazingly. I think Cody would love to play for the yanks also because of his dad. In an ideal world i would prefer the contract be in the range of 3-5 but i think a 5-6 year deal with an opt out for bellinger after 2 seasons.m could be a good deal for both sides. Bellinger is still young and could retest free agency if he proves to be an mvp candidate again. I think our rotation is fine. I’d prefer to not sign another huge deal, but with the yanks history of pitching I think we get a reliver to replace michael king’s absence in the bullpen now that he is in the rotation. Rotation would be Cole Rodon King cortes and clarke if we changed nothing with brito as a long reliever and spot starts.

Hard disagree. Jones, Thorpe, Beeter, Arias, Lombard Jr, & Rice all have solid trade value.

@@PinstripeTerritory Jones is a project at best, as someone who watched him at Vandy and often struggled against top line SEC starters. The emphasis for the Yankees should not be what big splash FA signing/trade should we make but how do we build overall Organizational depth. They have a lot of work to do to catch up.

@@snerdterguson per MLB pipeline rankings they are in the lower third of the entire League. That's a fact. What is your top ten ranking based upon? Please list any credible source. Fans calling a guy a stud rings a tad hollow at this point.

@@snerdterguson lol sounds like an emotional response. and prospects are SUPPOSED to get better as the season goes along. That's kind of the point. Did I see Dominguez? I think I blinked so no I didn't catch that legendary run.

I would love to get Soto but I’m not giving up what it will take to get him for one year.

If the yanks want someone who never strikes out and gets on base they should go after Luis arraez

Getting Monty will be the most logical moves. Monty has pitched in Yankees so he is no stranger to NY press. Although he may still pissed at being traded off so his asking prices for Yanks will not be low. Soto is just one year rental and Yanks are not going to spend the 500M on a player. Same goes to Ohtani. Snell's 2023 is just an abnormal year(just look at Rodon, one or two good years does not mean the performance will continue). Bellinger could be a nice pick up if the prices are not too steep. Yankee needs to learn from Orioles, Rays, Braves, Astros how to construct a team via youngsters.

I will say it again. I feel giving up a lot of prosperity. Soto is not a good idea for one year. Also, Shohani is not a good choice either. He may not be the same player after the operation. I agree with the rest

Yankees are stuck with the Stanton and Rodon contracts. Cashman has been a disaster.

nolan arenado is a honorable mention also not sure i want belly he’ll come to the yankees strike out 150 times and bat 210 so idk the yankees don’t have the best luck with signings

Just bring up the Baby bombers , we have bad luck with Free agents, trade Rondo and Stanton, need to keep Torres he was our MVP for the year, played almost every game throughout the season, and Boone needs to go !

Yamamoto and Soto. That’s it. I would trade Jones, Pereira, you know what anyone except Arias, Luis Serna, Thorpe, and Mayea. If you acquire Soto you’re thinking you can sign him. So outfield for the next 6 years or so is set. Soto, Dominguez, Judge. Wow. Hopefully Wells works out at catcher. They should know about Volpe by the time Arias is ready. All the Gleyber hating needs to stop. Extension. We are stuck with Stanton unless we give the Dodgers Fitts and Sweeney to take that contract. Whatever it is, It will hurt Third well is that Peraza or someone else? First not sure either, DJ/Rizzo, and then a prospect or low cost defensive guy. To go all in with the Soto trade means that The Yankees are willing to spend Mets money. Not sure that will happen. If I had to bet I would say there two big moves will be Yamamoto and trading Stanton, which we will have to give up prospect capital like we are acquiring a decent player. Expect no one of any consideration back.

Please do not unload the farm for Soto. Spencer Jones looks really good at AAA.
