I’m adopted my parents were originally gonna tell me the truth immediately but friends told them to not do it and I ended up believing until maybe 10 when a kid at a Boy Scout event told me. I don’t know if I was the only one who didn’t yet know but I was there with a few other cub scouts and I bet it was like a flash bang to the cub scouts. I didn’t take it badly at all instead I just took it as an invitation to get lazy with Christmas lists and ask my parents directly for stuff.
