❤️ Those screen lid attachments are great for growing your own sprouts for salads. We love salads as a side dish and less than a teaspoon full of micro-sprout seeds are a healthy and great addition to a steak dinner. I even grow my own bean sprouts to add to stir fry dinners. Love the ideas. Thank you for sharing.

You can actually make refrigerator tea. Just do the same thing to put together the water and tea you did here. Instead of sitting it outside, just pop it into the fridge for 3-4 hours or more. The tea doesnt have that bitterness from the tannins because you havent boiled or warmed it to bring them out. This tea isnt strong, so wait until you taste it plain before adding sweeting to it. Some teas i dont even add anything to them. I like it because its cold to start with and isnt bitter. My favorite part is not fussing with ice cube trays! I also use the 1/2 gallon mason jar and 1 Lipton Iced Sweet Tea Family size tea bag and water. It has Splenda already in it so no need to add anything! You see its brown, drink it down! We’ve made this for decades and it NEVER lasts! I hope you enjoy this! Try different teas too Darjeeling is a favorite without sweeting. 😎

Thank youuuu! P.s. I'm an avid Smoothie maker/drinker & I recently learned a combination of Pineapple & oranges (with or w/o other fruit/ingredients)can become bitter...myyyy gooooodness it wUgh! "I-spewed-it-across-the- room" bitter moment! I later learned the Pineapple to orange ratio must be on point or bitterness is the result! Uggh!
@willowsverge3046 Жыл бұрын
@@CynthiaPhelps-gh2pu youre very welcome! Im wondering if youd drop a banana in with the pineapple and orange, if that would be enough sweetness to battle back the bitterness??? Thanks for the heads up on the pineapple and orange combo! 😬

You gave us so many great ideas today for Mason jars Shannon! I love them for storage in my pantry, displaying old wood spools, buttons, and my thimble collection, and also old marbles from my dad and grand dad. I also use them for flowers and drink iced tea from them. I keep the ones for drinking separate from all of the others.I actually have a lot of antique Mason jars and lots of blue ones too.Don't you also have some older blue ones? I've been collecting them for years and don't plan to stop. I have some of the old lids but I like getting new ones better. The old ones are kind of gritty on the glass...if that makes sense! When I find old ones I buy them because they have so many uses. I have some newer ones but my collection ranges from the 1930's jars with the wire bales to keep them shut to the 1950's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. Thank you for this today and for sharing all of your wonderful ideas as usual. I love the stacking Mason jars and the lid that makes a jar a pitcher! I drink iced tea sweetened with Splenda in the summer and hot tea with Splenda in the winter...milk in the winter tea and lemon in the iced tea! I love the hanging lights...the best today!
@TheDailyDIYer Жыл бұрын
I do have some blue ones packed away still. They would be beautiful for spring right now. The old lids are so interesting how they used to make them. Have a great week Kathleen!

Shannon, thank you so much for these wonderful mason jar ideas. I am a bit obsessed with decorating these jars. I actually tried your school glue and food coloring concoction today on a jar AND on a tiny bud vase from the DT. They turned out so pretty!!! I used blue today but will try green next time for something different. You are correct… this is so much cheaper than the expensive spray paint, and you get the same effect!!! I am delighted. Thanks again. You are the very first DIYer I followed when I started this crafting journey a year ago. I copied your hanging foam wreath form mason jar lantern project and it’s still working on my deck. Weird but awesome craft! Take care. ❤😊
