Its fair point but we both know retail is the flip side of this argument. Its too far gone, too much in it to pick it up now. Classic is that happy medium. Quality of life changes should never be considered 'features', they are merely smoothing out rough edges. The new features that are being added to Cata have been scrutinised for years, so its the perfect time to again, tweak them to provide some quality of life. The overall pessimism of the classic community towards Cata is nonsensical at this point. Is Cata that much different from Wrath.. no. Was it smoother to play.. yes! @@TheCrimsonFker

I started wow on a small private server from 2007 to 2009 then it closed and i was depressed but in 2010 i started playing on the official servers a few days after cata release to reunite with my old 2007 guild that moved there (that i'm still with to this day), so even if it's not my favorite expansion it has a very special place in my heart and i'm going to rinse it with the boys again !

the only class/race combo I was ever excited about was Gnome Hunter. I immediately made one as soon as I was able. Survival Hunter. There is nothing more satisfying than watch a gnome harpooning themselves to a mob.

@@Osanve I don’t sit in Dalaran and I don’t really care that much since I don’t spend a lot of time in Azeroth either. It definitely made it better to level alts I just hate what they did with some zones where I had tons of memories. But you do have a point. Most people only sit in dalaran and they log just for raids and yet they complain a ton about the world. I like RDF not complaining about it at all.

Wonder if they'll fix the bridge bug in Tol Bard, where just before an event ends, if you're standing on the bridge and rush forward you can get free honor. That bug got abused for weeks before it was fixed in retail.

@@cole8834Yeah, WoD didn't have much content at endgame, especially after maxing your garrison. But as I said the content that WoD had was peak, the quantity was very low though. The dungeons, Raids and 90-100 leveling was peak and PVP was also great, almost as good as Cata, but nowadays Dragonflight has surpassed anything before it, except in pre-expansion leveling, but it's so fast that it's good in the fact that you get it out of the way fast.

aye mate but only if they are exactly the same in terms of what they do, if there is even a tiny change to what they do they can actually change to a completely different glyph, i'll be covering that in a video in the next couple of days on how to check what they are

Did not think I was hyped for cata AT ALL but this video defo changed my mind. It does look like this expansion might just be something I'll really like. Just hope they will not progress more in the expansions because unlike Cata, I did play MoP and I did not really enjoy it.. Blizz will probably keep progressing through the expansion but I wanna see just how long they will get away with it. Now they created SoD which they will consider classic+ and have vanilla servers so they satisfied a big chunk of players which is amazing. I just don't think they would be able to manage antoher version of "retail light+" which would be not moving to mop or the next expansion but doing something new. But the question really is if they just literally wanna progress through all expansions a few years behind retail which eventually gonna create the same problems and I can guarantee that by the time they hit shadowlands, there will be less than a 100 people playing so they might as well shut it down. Either way blizzard is doing rather well nowadays imo. Gonna give them the benefit of doubt and hope they will carry on making the right decisions. If RIOT don't fuck their MMO up when it comes out (2028-30 I guess) then Blizz will have a serious competitor in the businness.

Thank you for the video! I have to say though that for #7 - Engineering is definitely worse. When the rocket boost fail you get a dot that does about 75% of your health. Also probably more importantly, Synapse Spring now shares a CD with all on use trinkets, so you can't stack cd's anymore. Engineering is good in Tier 11 because the helms and cogwheels, but otherwise, it's much worse.

Iirc nitro boosts don't fail in instances so that's only a real con in open world content. And IMO in open world content I'd rather take 80% of my HP through a DoT that I can use a defensive CDs for (Cloak/Bubble/Ice Block all insta clear it for example) than get knocked up high into the air.

I agree alot of parts of this BUT! I think the wep skill is not that great. I liked the RP of getting a new weapon and you have to learn how to use it. Is it abit annoying? yes. But it was one of the parts in classic that i enjoyed. Cause you saw the damage increase and when it surpassed your old weapon you felt greater. Might just be me.

I think keeping the weapon trainers along with a faster skill up would be ideal. You need to learn how to use it… but also gameplay wise auto attacking enemies for literally hours is not fun.

Each revamp expansion over the original expansion will have some changes. And I be curious to see what Blizzard will add to the original Cataclysm in their revamped cataclysm expansion, Cataclysm Classic. Also be curious when Pandaria Classic will be a thing. Whether the whole pet battle system get revised to be more friendly and accessible for players. Talking about Cataclysm Classic, I guess a concern was with original cataclysm that there was sharding, and that players couldnt see other players, until they did some activity first. So a bit of gated content. But the other thing was that progression was restricted to give players time to get used to the expansion. Later things were better streamlined. I think the early moments of this sharding is putting off players. Maybe Blizzard wil learn from the past and had better servers and tools to combat increased population of players in one spot.

The only thing that puts me off playing retail wow now is the level squash.. I’m not really looking forward to getting 70 if that means I might still be doing dungeons with level 30s like myself. Honestly I’ll play any expansion of classic wow til they squash the levels. Blizzard might think it’s stupid but I think it would be epic to grind all the way to level 120! Can’t wait to go from 80-85 then 90 a year later. Classic wrath is seeing growth all the time, my guild is never short of healers for 25 raids and we’re gaining way more Guildford than we’re currently losing and the random server crashes must mean there’s more activity than Blizzard predicted.

In wolk i got around 13-14 characters that are currently making JC, Mining and Alchemy dailiy for a nice chunk of gold each day. Does Cata have something similar like TitanSteel ? etc

Correct, I dont think u gem full mastery, but mostly puissant (green stam mastery), I think DKs are the ones that stack mastery even more cuz blood shield broken.

ALL of these changes are great. I've now replayed EVERY iteration of WoW all the way up to MoP several times over. Cata is the most underrated and gets the most undeserved hate. Private servers fixed many issues like no LFR and pre nerf heroics. We need a solution like H++ for heroics to keep them relevant as new patch dungeons come out... the simplest solution is to just increase the ilvl of the items to match the new dungeons, and then you can increase the ilvl of the profession starter gear for PvE and PvP (which would keep professions relevant through the expansion as well). Another issue that should be considered is how easy the leveling content got with the talent/leveling changes (except for Shadow that feels pretty weak before lvl 30). If mobs were made about 3x as strong and the leveling was CHALLENGING, I think we'd have a monster on our hands. Other than that it is just 1) the final raid sucks and 2) as the expansion goes on the amount and quality of raids goes DOWN with each patch. The second one is an easy fix; raise up the ilvl of the gear of previous tiers to match... that way content is simply ADDED on with each patch. So the only thing left that would take real work is to take another crack at that final raid tier. If you were to actually do this, AND execute on all the simple fixes mentioned, then I think people's perception of this expansion will flip completely. The emblem and gearing systems were near perfect (absent something like PvP Power and the 2/2 PvP trinket bonus from MoP being added on). The catchup was great. It was an INCREDIBLY alt friendly expansion. I have my gripes with a few specs but pretty much everything felt great to play, the classes got a touch more complex and the end game content got more difficult. Most rotations feel damn smooth.

bm hunters and rogues were the most broken classes in pvp hunters were made op because of the kill command changes and spirit beasts then rogues had their legendary daggers they could solo and get. if your a bm hunter or rogue classic cata will be a great expansion for you im a bm hunter main.

Just saying Vash'jir is an amazing zone. It's beautiful, its got a good storyline, and it basically lets you "fly" all the time and you get the buff/mount very quick. Only reason people hate it is because they can't think in 3D, so the vertically is too difficult to grasp.
