I don't know if someone mentioned this already, but you are wrong when you say that Edward loses his ability to perform alchemy for different reasons in all 3 iterations. The same circumstances exist in the manga and brotherhood, where Ed voluntarily gives up his gate, and thus his ability to perform alchemy, in order to get Alphonse's body back. In the first anime, he doesn't actually lose the ability to perform achemy. He is actually transported to a world where alchemy is physically impossible. However, when he uses the transdimensional gate, he is shown to still be able to use alchemy in his original world.

3:53 yap you might be wrong. Drawing shirtless ppl, specially with defined muscles is no easy task, this is coming from me as an artist. I assume she means, he is easy to draw cause he is very blocky and big, easy to shape him fast. Okay I'm going to state this. Ed lost his alchemy in two different ways, not three, the manga is based off of Brotherhood, so Ed looses his alchemy getting his brother's body back in both the manga and Brotherhood while he looses his alchemy in Shamballa, but amazing video!
