pkbjorn35 that title belongs to Sean Connery. Nobody will ever be better than the original Bond. Sean Connery did so well that Ian changed his novel version of Bond to fit Connery's style. Bond went from being British to Scottish and the in novel description was changed to describe Connery. I have the original prints and the revised with the changes. As far as Ian (the creator of Bond) was concerned Connery is the best.

skyfall did it so well because a lot of people didn't like quantum of solace. I do not know why though... I mean allright not all james bond movies are the same, but that is what makes it great. A lot of people didnt like die another day either because of the ''more than usual greenscreen/CGI''. I seriously love all the movies. And die another day is one of my favorites!!

My Favorite bond movie is On her Majesty Secret Service. Think about it, not full of gadgets it had an interesting and developed plot, you cared about the characters in The movie. Bond was put in the situation which he had to rely upon his training and personality only. And two other considerations, one it had the best skiing scenes ever filmed in a Bond movie. And Tally Savalas was outstanding as the arch villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Oh yes let’s not forget the song “We have all the time in the World” sung by Louis Armstrong.

Yeah, the Moonraker novel takes place entirely in Britain rather than the USA, Outer Space and Brazil; in the novel the Moonraker is a V2 rocket fitted with a Soviet supplied Nuke being aimed at London rather than the code name for a plan to gas the entire earth with some nerve toxic. Hugo Drax in the novel is a German count who served as a Nazi from the Werwolf commando unit instead of an American billionaire. if I remember correctly instead of launching Drax into space Bond redirected the atomic rocket to hit Drax's submarine in the North Sea in the novel.
