As a lifelong resident of Minnesota, I have a tie between my two favorite cities: Minneapolis and Rochester. Minneapolis because that’s where all the major things like all the pro-sports, plus major concerts, etc. Rochester because it’s a big city that has a small town feel. I grew up in a small town, so I like to party down in that city.

IMO the best city in Minnesota is (as a resident of apple valley this hurts) Rosemount. Stillwater, Hibbing, Bemidji, Brainerd, and Two Harbors are all also good picks for top spot.

Nothing against Detroit, but there is so much more to Michigan than just Detroit. In terms of cities I like the ones in the southwest that sit on Lake Michigan like St. Joseph and South Haven. I will admit though that big cities stress me out and I prefer places that are quieter, smaller, and have a lot of nature.
