#50. Resin Art That Can Charge Your Phone!!! A Resin Experiment by Daniel Cooper

Here is a video on how I created a wireless charging dock using a charging module and resin. Disclaimer... This is an experiment, I have added the links as you may have other ideas. If you do try this, it is at your own risk 😉. I will not be held responsible for any mishaps! That aside, I will test thoroughly and update, the thermal cut out is a huge benefit from a safety perspective.

I ended up here because I was curious if I could use resin (specifically UV resin) to fix my LED phone charging cable. I wasn't sure how resin would respond to a little bit of heat, & this video makes me feel a lot more comfortable about using it for that purpose 😅

No, I just tested it for safety, I used mains power after and was totally fine, I would still say to test thoroughly first though.

WOW...did *not* know you could do this sort of thing! Wireless chargers, huh? Didn't know they had such things. We don't have cell phones, so I'm not at all tech savvy! 😅 This turned out SO pretty! Sorry (???) you didn't get blobbies, though! I really like it, though. One of your pretty blooms would look really great! Hey, Daniel, if you don't care for clear edges, maybe you could use crushed glass (stays where you put it) next time, or even hold it in place with UV resin? Or, maybe put in those fake "metallic" flakes right before/after stirring? The resin should still be soft enough to allow that, but thick enough to keep them in place.

Thank you as always, I totally rushed this from idea to creation 😂. I ordered the part yesterday and created and edited today so I literally rushed the concept to upload the video, the possibilities are huge for this, phone stands and all sorts of designs are possible. You know me, I like to plant the seeds for others imaginations, but I 100% agree, this could have been better had I not rushed it 😂😂😂😂

Oh, heavens, no, Daniel! I wasn't criticizing at all! I love what you did, and I have no problems with a "rush job"! Especially one as pretty as what yours turned out to be. It's just you'd mentioned worrying about the ink pulling in (as it always does), so...my 2 brain cells started firing on how to hide the clear edges, and...yeah. You know how it went after that: open mouth, insert both feet....
