Boy that's a mirror image of MY life. Married a Filipina at 21 (she was 29), raised three children and five grandchildren -- married 42 years. Built our dream house in the province for our retirement -- but didn't quite make it. She passed away 9 months ago, and I miss her so much it hurts. The age gap between us was the opposite of what the average person expects in the Philippines. My wife was 7 years my senior. But you'd never have known it, and that's one of a number of reasons why I made her my life partner. To find my soul mate halfway around the world in a poor Asian country when I wasn't looking for ANY type of relationship made it absolutely a blessing from God, and one I never took for granted. After all, it took a special kind of person to be married to ME all those years. I knew I was no dream to live with. But we loved each other with all our hearts, and I'll never blessed with someone like her ever again, I'm convinced of that.

When I was in the Navy (U.S.) we had several port stops in Subic Bay. I observed many things. First was that as a culture they are one of, or the most, attractive people in the world. They were some of the hardest and honest working people I have ever known. Also, the nicest and friendliest people. Yes, because it was Naval Base, there were some who were out to get your money but they were few and far between. If I wasn't married at the time I'm quite sure I would have found one to marry.

Couldn't agree more. While living in the Phils I took my wife to a concert and on the way the car in front of me suddenly accelerated away just missing a guy with his hands up in the middle of the road it was dark but I could see it was a policeman so I stopped. He said at my window you've just driven through a red light. I said what light as there was no traffic lights along this road. He said can I have your driving license and I said can I have your number and what police station you come from.(The law then was police couldn't take your driving license) Suddenly I was waived on to my journey to the concert. Another tip always take your driving license with you when out and about but keep a sharp eye on it cos it could end up on another island. Happens more than you know.

Hahahaha omg! Wow really interesting! I assume KZbin suggested your channel because you are intelligent, bright, thoughtful, well-spoken, professional, witty and entertaining (yes probably 1000 other great qualities too). Maybe you can also make some behind the scenes things (perhaps on a new channel) about your production routines and how you are able to do provide really great content.

Hi Pea. Your opening comments on the need of generalization in explaining a culture, let alone the rather large number of different cultures in the Philippines, is on point and could be used as an example in a university sociology class. I'm serious. It is so very well thought out, explained and rationalized that I listened to that part several times to make sure I would remember it. It's precise and to the point. Obviously, I had to subscribe to your channel.

She does have a lovely complexion; the Pea clearly takes care of herself well. Bet she has (will have) the same problem my ex did, of getting carded to see if she's drinking age well into her '30s, even when her much younger friends who are with her get a "bye" because anyone can see they're old enough to imbibe!.. ;-)

A couple of suggestions to improve this video: The dialog is good. I suggest, to make it more "user friendly" A. when mentioning a location, have a map up to your right (from the viewer's perspective), with the area highlighted and B. as there appear to be some physical differences between some of the areas, show a photo of a woman from that area, perhaps in traditional garb (which I imagine might vary between locations). Funny ending. (-:

Of course, you had to be one of those beautiful Visayan girls. Pure magic! I saw the fierce warrior in you a long time ago in your Challenge the Pea videos. You would not be defeated! And I think those other fascinating traits are reasons so many of us are drawn to watch your every video. You are the kind of sexy, spirited, inspired woman any man would be excited to spend the rest of his life loving with all his heart. You just left out one thing about the Waray woman. You clearly have hearts of gold and a measure of compassion that is rare to see. I will not soon forget your generosity and the tears of joy you shed when helping those families who did not have a Christmas, and that elderly woman who's life was changed the day you brought your special brand of Filipina Pea sunshine to her door. By the way, that dress is absolutely beautiful on you.

Another great video Pea. Information about the different area’s and differences in the women’s personalities is invaluable, even though it is a “GENERALISATION”. I particularly liked your direct approach to Western men who have little respect and disregard for Filipina women, shame on them. These women deserve better. Western women wouldn’t accept it, that’s why you look to the Filipina women, thinking you will get away with it because of there circumstances. You should be ashamed of yourselves. These are the kind of women we in the West are desperately looking for in our lives, that’s why we look to the Philippines. Treat these worthy Filipina women with RESPECT, honour them and love them and you will be loved and respected as a man like you have never known in you life. As for your final comments Pea, I love you since of humour and sharp Witt, along with your insight, humanity, kindness and Intelligence makes you one of my favourite women to watch and listen to.
