There's some brilliant thought gone into that splitter. It's the 1st I've ever seen with an automatic greaser. I have seen a vertical splitter that dropped back to idle when the ram was fully retracted. It's the first time I've seen someone add an idle on a horizontal. The braided lines look very tidy. I don't know if there is any benefit but they do look pretty.

Thanks Alan H. Like most of my projects, there's more thinkin and drinkin than buildin. The stainless braid on hoses was from dumpster diving at work. Its really just for looks.

@@JohnJohnson-vu7xj just don't think a 4 way will work with this southern live oak on my machine. It really pushes the limits with the single. I would really have to upgrade everything to handle 150 ton probably. It's nasty stuff, but its all we have

@@JohnJohnson-vu7xj never encountered either one. If you search hardness and density on wood, southern live oak is way up there. Not sure on the woods you specified.

You said you had a cooler on it but the first thing I noticed was the hand Beer holder conveniently located by the operating levers...... then I realized you were talking about an entirely different cooler

Thats right Clintonio, built from piston and connecting rod. Did you happen to notice the boobie koozie that was in the beer holder?

Why the air ?
@wifeswapperbg72 жыл бұрын
Usually don't have air on the truck. Comes in handy for blowing out the saws, cleaning oil port in bar, blowing off the beam and sled, air up low tire etc. I don't think it robs enough power to hurt anything.

Curious about why you didn’t go for a bigger motor. It seems to me due to the size and power of this monster you’d want the bigger engine.

Power is actually fine, but even with full rubber mounts on engine, vibration is more than I care for. 28gpm at 3,000 rpm on first stage, then when it hits a big load it goes to 7gpm on 2nd stage if I recall correctly.
