@@reedstemen MOT is an annual inspection for the car. Costs £50 ish and the car shouldn't have any major warning lights , should have good tyres and basically be safe for road use. I like this concept.

Crazy how you can buy 2 tidy mk5 golf tdi's and can barly buy 1 tidy mk4 with the same money, And little secret the injectors for the arl asz engines are worth a mint second hand, so even if you got a rotten mk4 tdi for 300 you can get that if not more back from ebaying the injectors alone

Had a silver Bora TDI (all red so 150 hp version - red I is 110). Bought it at 3 years old and ran it for about 6 years until just shy of 100k when, despite regular servicing, the cams went pointy and smashed their way through the followers. Had to give up on it (although bought by a bloke from the owners club who rebuilt it, did it up a bit more and kept it I think), but I loved that car. Was really nice to drive and was my first `nice` car (i.e. not a heap of crap Clio/Fiesta etc). For boring reasons I now have a Focus Mk3 160hp diesel and it's nowhere near as nice.

Tom Green not true, in the end there’s no real rhyme or reason to what colour badges vw put on the cars. Highly likely that it is a 130, the 110 was the old school non pd engine and I’m fairly sure that wasn’t being made in the year that this boras plate is on

Tom Green that’s fair enough mate, didn’t think the non pd engines were still being made up to that year. The car in the vid is probably a 130 high line anyway, but easiest way to tell is 6 speed gearbox. What miles is your passat on? My father drives one with 320000 miles !
