The compartments in an obese body are hard to predict like more fat less water based so perfusion is affected. Then if compressions are needed it’s hard. Im just so happy she’s okay. The recovery room nurse that was caring for me was absolutely incredible! I woke up freaking out (I have PTSD) and she heard me screaming and simply walked over and calmly took my hand and started taking my pulse and she spoke to me very gently and told me to focus on her voice and kept reassuring me that I was safe and that they had saved my life in the OR! The whole team was just wonderful and they truly did, save my life, not once, but twice. I was born with a heart Defect and thr fact that I was freaking out coming out from under anesthesia started to dramatically raise my heart rate to stroke level! The fact that the nurse was able to calm me down so quickly gave them enough time to get me some medication to help me stay calm. @@richardsmith4671 $5000 for everything which included lodging. All I had to pay for was my airfare. I also had to buy meds that totaled $85. They were amazing. I would highly recommend this particular clinic to anyone!

I've seen drug addicts run back to that life because it's all they know. Addiction is real...and the mental health side of it is just as real. Addiction can be anything. The human brain is so beautiful and wonderful. So is our human body. Unfortunately there is alot of unknowns...Emotional pain is worse than physical. Most people don't know how to handle it. We are fragile. Renee. You are beautiful and yoy have so much to be happy and proud of in this life right now right in front of you. I believe in you. Nothing in this life that is worth ANYTHING is going to be a walk in the park or easy. Grab those reigns and hold on baby girl. You got this. You have to breath. And try to look at everything in a different way. Get some counseling. Write in a journal..and in a year go back and look at that progress. Yoy can do this.

No the human body is not beautiful its full of flaws. We use the same pipe to breathe and drink, we have autoimmune problems which is the body trying to kill itself for no good reason, we have fevers to get rid of diseases while the body forgets that itself cant survive with high temperatures as well... Our spines are not meant to be upright with this gravity. i'm not gonna even talk about cancer or lack of telomeres. It goes on... The perfect being is called Tardigrade, check that out!

@lotharsoran36042 жыл бұрын
It's endearing how Dr. Now has platforms for surgery. He's just this little packet of awesome. He's so kind and considerate with his patients, and staff. He seems like such a sweetheart. You can see that sweetness as he talks to Kaleesa when she's brought around: holding her hand to comfort her. Even if he has to tell someone off it is polite. Watching him work on these huge patients reminds me a bit of the fable where a mouse takes the thorn out of the lion's paw. Basically, he is doing the same thing, only a bigger operation: removing something which is causing his patients distress and their ill health. By taking away their ability to eat huge portions, and their cravings in some cases, he is doing them a huge favour. Those who get to the op have worked hard to get there, and completely deserve it.

I’m an ER and ICU nurse, it’s daily routine for me to give compressions to people who come with cardiac arrest in the ER, when we (as a team of nurses and doctors) finally save a person, you feel the relieve, and I always sweet talk to the people who suffered the cardiac arrest, we are all humans and the least that I could do is make them feel better with sweet words. I feel that nurse so much.

She and her husband have such a loving relationship. When you got two food addicts, they have to both be on board or else one will drag the other down. It seems they decided, "I've got to make a change for her" and "I've got to make a change for him."

I so hope she is able to get the surgery in the future and can live a long healthy life. I just had surgery two weeks ago and I went into cardiac arrest twice but my surgery wasn't one they could just stop and not do. So it doesn't matter how big or small, sick or healthy you are, everyone runs the risk of that happening. It was the scariest thing I've ever been through so I know how she feels. I hope she was able to lose the weight and get her surgery.

Dr was absolutely calm and in control. I understand that's his profession, however even with the highest training when things go left, there's usually a flinch even in the best of circumstances. Well done doctor now, patient and God.

I have had more surgeries than I can count in my life and the way the nurse was talking to her is something I wish I've seen more of. The way she reacted when Dr Now told her she didn't have the surgery because her heart stopped, I know he wasn't trying to come off as uncaring but you could see the way Vianey started rapidly breathing and almost broke down but before she could the other nurse leaned over and said what she said in a very caring voice while comforting her and you can immeditly see her exhale and calm down. I think surgeons tend to forget that just because they are around life threatening situations every day that they're more desensitized to it. Nurses are the unsung heroes of hospitals, the way a patient feels pre and post surgery mentally plays a huge part in recovery. I remember after my kidney transplant my Mom had stepped out of the ICU to grab a coffee and during the 15 min she was gona I spiked a 102 fever and needed to be reintubated, it was a freak occurance but the doctor barely said much, he looked at me and said "You're spiking a fever, we need to put the tube in to help you breathe" and just walked out. The nurse could see I was visually upset and scared and literally sat down in the chair next to me and held my hand and took 10 min to comfort me and explain everything until my Mom got back and they put me under again.
