I once witnessed a robbery happening in my own house. I'd just come home from school and I was home alone. I went to use the bathroom almost as soon as I walked into the house and as I was peeing, I heard something fall in the basement - the floor right below me. In my house, we don't have the kind of basement where you just dump all your unused stuff. We spent a lot of time in the basement, eating, playing, watching TV, bothering my Dad and Mom while they worked, sleeping down there when it was too hot in the summer. In other words, our basement wasn't the stereotypical horror movie basement. Regardless, I was still convinced (and I still am convinced) that my house was haunted. Since, back then, I had just gotten a camera for my birthday and I was determined on being a fake KZbinr, I grabbed my camera and ventured downstairs, thinking I was going to capture a ghost in action or something. Instead, what I captured was a grown man trying to climb through our basement window with a black mask over his face. As soon as he saw me, he just went right back through the window and I called the cops and they took my camera for evidence (and never gave it back because it "broke" during the investigation). They never caught the guy, I'm not exactly sure why the investigators took my entire camera and not just the footage...but, oh well. I got another camera, anyway, and I never captured a ghost but I'm still pretty sure my house is haunted. Anyway, that's the story of how I walked in on a robbery - or what was going to be a robbery, anyway. And I'm realizing that I forgot to mention what fell. The thing that fell was a stone sculpture thing of a teddy bear hugging a little girl that was on the window sill. I'm surprised it didn't break when it fell. This all happened like four years ago, back when I was in 9th grade.

Lol. The best things to steal. I remember stealing tick - tacs when I was a bit younger. Then a week later another kid around the same age tried to steal some tick -tacs, got really guilty about it, and told their mum.. And my exact thoughts on that at that moment? "muhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! I'm *soulessss* " I also felt: sorry, happy, and disgust for the kid all at the same time...I mean so pure...they're just tick - tacs 😂 I was like: nice try, kid, nice try, I thought it was super funny.. (Btw, that had to return them)

Hey, the vampire/ witches cauldron reminded me of something very close to home, (your finished piece not the prompt) My little cousin Alexis has this rare skin cancer, XP is what it's called, she can't ever go in the sun without protective gear on, and summers are the worst for her. She can't go be with other children normally, her gear gets too hot, so, your book idea about the vampire made me smile, because it could potentially be used to brighten up kids with her type of cancer days'. I dunno, it just made me smile and feel warm, even knowing it was based on a vampire and not skin cancer, idk, it was really nice. (She can't get into pools normally until evening, so, her and the vampire share stuff in common.)

A while ago there were strange men in our street. They delivered random letters and walked up to the doors of the houses. They were very suspicious, and it was obvious that they were looking for a place to break into. Some of our neighbours weren't home around that time, so we took "care" of their houses (getting the letters out, empty the big trash can, turning things off and on [of course the neighbours allowed us to]) we did that to make the men thing somebody was there. They stopped after about a week, and came back another week around 3 months after it happened the first time Luckily no house got broken into

I have witnessed 2 robberies/break-ins, both were pretty weird. First one, I was waiting at the end of my street for my brother so we could walk to school together. While I'm waiting I notice a small group of hooded teenagers walking towards me. I just stand there and let them walk past, then they turn down my street and jump my neighbour's fence right in front of my eyes. I ran back and told my mother, we called the police, they showed up with dogs and stuff, and we never knew what happened next. Next robbery was a few years later. We had come home from my dad's and my bike was in the backseat, but we were picking someone up so we needed to drop the bike back off at home before we went to go pick them up. On the way into our driveway I noticed a car out on the side of the road near our house, distress lights on. I took notice of it, assumed it was just a broken tire or something, and moved on. We went inside for about a minute, came back out, and realised my mother's handbag, phone, and wallet were gone. We called the police, and while my mother did that, she told us to go look around to see if the culprit was near because we'd only been in the house for about a minute. I noticed that the car with the distress lights wasn't there anymore. We went round the corner, found that car, reported the number, and found our stuff + some other stuff others lost.

Yes, I have witnessed a robbery. In true hillbilly fashion it was at Walmart. Me and my son were chilling on a bench and someone was apparently was trying to steal a TV, security ran him down and tackled him to the floor. I was shocked, meanwhile my son stood up yelling touchdown.

My mom actually helped stop a robbery lol. I used to live by a beer store, so one day when I was a baby my mom, my dad and I were in the car going to get my grandma from the airport, when my dad realized he left something in the house so he went back to our apartment to get it. As we were waiting my mom spotted a man in a ski mask with a bag in his hand walking away from the store. She watched him get in his car and snapped a photo of the license plate, just in case. She drove the car to the beer store, and went inside. She asked if they had been robbed and they said yes. So she went back outside to investigate where the man had been. Luckily it was winter and there were footprints in the snow. She snapped a photo of them as well then went back to our car. We waited for my dad, then went to the airport to pick up my grandma. Later that day, she went down to the police station to report the robbery. She gave them the licence plate number and the photo of the footprints. They eventually tracked down the guy and arrested him. And now my mom has a plaque for her help in stopping the robber. So, that's pretty cool XD
