Just recently purchased all my parts off Amazon for my first build. Met my 1200 dollar budget and I'm super excited to build! Gotta wait until the end of the month for everything to arrive sadly.

@@ponds_yt I went with Intel i3 12100f Cpu, RTX 3060 ti, 16 gig ddr4 ram, and 500 gigs SSD. Then a pretty solid budget monitor and case!

Nice to see a build using the 6500XT. I got one last july off someone like new for $100 to replace my aging r9 390 and its been great so far. If AMD had priced it fairly at launch it wouldn’t have gotten so many bad reviews.

Its a good build. But to everyone I would recommend to get the RX 6600 (non XT) instead of the 6500 XT. For about $50 more, you get 70% more performance (according to Techpowerup), 4 display outputs (unlike 2 on 6500xt), 8 lanes of PCIe gen 4 and H264 H265 hardware encoding. For just a couple bucks more, the RX 6600 is a much better deal !

It’s a great video and build, I would recommend to use more light when building the pc. It was kind of hard to see wat you were doing sometimes.

you might try this .... Ryzen 5 3600 used ebay 90$ ......MSI A520M-A PRO Micro ATX 70$ new.......ID-COOLING SE-214-XT 20$ new........Silicon Power XPOWER Turbine 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 65$ new(you could always cut the set in half for 2 different systems 32$ single 16).........Silicon Power 1TB NVMe new 55$........... Bitfenix Formula Bronze 600 W new 45$........Rosewill SPECTRA D100 ATX Mid Tower 55$ new........ new rx 580 or a used gtx 1660 super 140$ tax and shipping put you at 535$ ... good luck man, and system is future proofed up to a RX 6800 XT after that it would be CPU bound

6500XT is poorly optimized for pcie gen 3 CPUS, like ryzen 5 5500, I think you should change to something like a used gtx 1660 super that is around $100, its much better performance.

man you just paired a RX 6500 XT with a CPU that doesn't support PCIE 4.0, so the performance is cut by 40%, a RX 580 8gb would have been a better choose with a 3.0 bus, as it would perform as well as the 6500 on a 4.0 , but the worst part is the time bomb power supply that you have used, remove that thing ASAP it will destroy that PC , the Cultist network has list PSUs that are safe to use, and putting 500gb nvme drive on a board with one mvme slot, all that is going to hold is less than 6 games, assassins creed valhala is over 150 gb by its self, and the 5500 has only 16mb of cache, ryzen 5 3600 would have given you 4.0 bus support, and 32mb of cache, solid gaming CPU for about the same money, but get that power supply out and send it back or throw it in the dumpster,, really it is just that bad , it cost me an I7 and board , right now you can get a Bitfenix Formula Bronze 600 W on new egg right now 45$ solid tier C cultist rating rather than the F rated "replace immediately" SMART PSU, sorry to here about your build man better luck next time, ill put a list that might help out

This is not a good build. This motherboard has a pcie 3.0, you’re basically cutting the performance of an already weak card in half
