The Church of Christ has long time ago reached the Ethiopian kingdom after what the Bible described as the encounter of the Apostle Philip and tte Ethiopian Eunuch, the Emissary of the Court of the Queen of South, the kingdom of Ethiopia at the time. The Holy Bible described how the Holy Spirit sent Philip to go to meet the Ethiopian Eunuch, who was coming from Jerusalem after a religious pilgrimage. The Ethiopian Eunuch was traveling on board his chariot and was reading a parchemin, a scroll of the Prophet Isaiah:54, The suffering servant.. After Philip has introduced himself, the Ethiopian Eunuch invited him to get on board his caravane and Philip then explained to him what Isaiah 54 was all about. So excited, the Ethiopian Eunuch requested Philip to baptized him and Philip did so before he disappeared suddenly. It's the Ethiopian Eunuch and the Emissary of the Court of the Queen Ethiopia who brought Christianity in Ethiopia. Let's praise our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏

The Church began 33AD and the cannon of Scripture was collated in 365. Orthodoxy has kept all the books that the Bishops from many countries, including Ethiopia, knew to be necessary to reflect what being a Christian is. I speak in the present tense bc Rome excommunicated the rest of the church in 1054, and went on to ommitt parts of the cannon that didnt agree with their altered teachings, and they continued as the gap got wider. I'm grateful to God for bringing me home to His Body, faithful Orthodox Christianity in 1996, and still as fresh every morning. COME and SEE !!

I don't think the Ethiopian bible was illegal anywhere - it just was not in a European language, so Europeans could not read it. Catholicism was about 1,000 years old before the King James bible - which is an English translation from earlier texts. Catholics used a Latin bible in all countries until the 1960's and much later in some places. Most Europeans read the Bible in their own language, not translated from the KJV and have done since around the time of the KJV when printing made it possible for books to be widely available. Europeans have known for centuries that there are loads of translations, and that, in any case, the Old Testament was written in Hebrew, and you can ask your Jewish neighbours what it says (KJV OT is a terrible translation - which Anglicans are normally taught - one of the translators actually said at the time "Israel is a far away place, about which we know very little"). It is fairly well established that Christ was on earth 2,000 years ago, when lifestyle and language was far different to today. The official Christian today doctrine is that the Bible is a living document, and needs to be interpreted in terms relevant to your own lifetime! KJV is often read in English speaking churches because it is poetic, not because it accurately conveys historical facts. The sermon that follows a reading should explain the meaning in the current context. Apart from anything else, 15th century English is not easy to understand today. And NO - the bits in red are NOT the words Jesus spoke. He spoke Aramaic, not English - which did not exist at all for about another 1,200 years! Aramaic is quite close to Arabic, and also Amharic - the Ethiopian language. Its structure is completely different to a European language. If your church did not teach you this, you should go to another.

Quite possible that some of these Ethiopian scrolls not only pre-date the arrival of Christianity there, but that they also pre-date the actual birth of Christ. There is no doubt that even Christianity is a syncretic faith. This would explain why the Catholic church rejects such materials. The Vatican isn't ignorant when it comes to ancient texts. Probably have more and know more than any other organization on Earth.

We should bear in mind that God is able to preserve His Word . Age does not make something true . The Bible interprets itself . Also don’t forget that The bible itself says of Christians that they will be known by their fruit . So also for the bible itself . I witness that the KJV has brought fruit to my life . We have the test of the Spirit in 1John 4:1-3 Believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God ….. The Bible itself has to stand up to its own test , therefore if a bible begins to deny the divinity of Christ you can be sure it is not kosher so to speak . Add to this the fact that Paul said “there are already many anti christs in the world 1John 2:18 . When a church claims the prerogatives of God (eg can forgive sins) you can be sure it is not of God . 2Thess 2:10-12 … they that perish because they received not the love of the truth. It seems like a good idea to me to pray for God to give us a love of the truth , to ask The Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth as it is part of His ministry . this is completely untrue. It is not the oldest Bible. The dead Sea scrolls are the scrolls dating back is far as 1000 years older. You can buy the dead Sea scroll Bible now it’s been translated into English. I have one and I cross referenced it with the king James version. So now we have the King James version Bible, which was created in 1611 and then we have the Dead Sea Scrolls to go back as much as over 1000 years before that. When you put the two in front of you to match up chapter and verse and the word for word it’s 95% identical. Another words, the accuracy has been maintained over all these years. Not to be little the Ethiopian Bible by any means. I’m simply saying the person who made this documentary has not done his homework at all.
