kemp, stars land in waves. each wave is about 120 minutes so 2 hours- this is for every world. the landing of the stars are randomized within 10-20 mins except for if a jmod manually resets a world then the offset can be larger. the desert star despawning was not a bug, the new star for that world just landed if you are to make a vid on this on chronicles im willing to fact check anything else on stars!

stars have always been a great afk option. its nice the casuals and leeches can enjoy half what the method was, and maybe they understand why we solo scouters HATED the clans. 500k xp a day is a bit wild though. Its 30k/hr at best. People waiting on playing this afk aren't playing 15 hour days.

Shooting stars is how I got 99 on the iron from 95-99, scouted Wildy stars that were dead and was 1-3 hrs of afk while playing other games. Finished with like 300k stardust , banked a life time amount of soft clay, gems are free through raids

I have a shit ton of stardust, but 99 con means I don't need soft clay either The charges on the ring go pretty hard at zalcano, and if you have 100k+ you can even use them to speed up guardians of the rift fragment collection.

The thing is stars were so inactive most of the time alot of stars just went unscouted and you could solo mine them for hours anyway if you self scouted this just removes the soft player cap on what should be a group activity reallows for collaborative scouting and removes that feeling of pure contained hatred you have when you see an individual walking up to your star you thought you were going to get to solo and halving your afk time.

Yeah, the people complaining that the stars are overpowered have no idea what they're talking about. This activity has literally existed for years, nothing was done to the xp rates or the AFKability. All that happened was it became more popular, and now people are acting like it is the end of the world because "you can now get 7 minutes free EHP when you leave your acc AFK mining when you go to sleep" (an actual comment I saw on Reddit). Give me a break

Not 500k exp a day unless you do 24 hours straight, my biggest day was a little under 400k and that was at least 15-20 hours..

That despawning of the star wasn't a bug. When the new star lands, the old one disappears. It's pretty hard to mine a high tier star by yourself before the timer is up, so that's probably what happened since the star depletes as if only one person is mining it now.

You can get close to 40kxp/hr if you prioritize the higher tiers, which you can do now since they last 30+mins and ppl are always scouting. Even then tho it's really hard to maintain that for 12 hours.

People knew it was a thing, but when you had to either leech stars or find solo ones it made it way less afk. You either had to stop every 10 mins and find a new star or spend 15 mins scouting/leeching a discord. I did solo stars a lot and I get why people didn't like it, it was tedious, and super frustrating when the clan shows up 1/3 of the way through. It was counterproductive to the content.

Those idiots are the fake elitist OSRS players who treat anything that even remotely approaches xp rates of rs3 as if it's diseased. Like, I get that a lot of rs3 updates have taken the grinds out of the game and these people hate that and don't want the same to happen to OSRS, but considering that even at 30k xp/h it's still 41 hours of constant mining from 98 to 99 makes their complaining ridiculous. For the average player that would still take at least a week, if not two weeks.

I just did motherlode mine for 4 months 🤷🏻‍♂️ it was easy just took a hot minute but I made almost 100mil off it it and used the raw materials to get 94 smithing then made more money smithing runite bars at blast furnace

Patch an "exploit" at duke, of 10k/hr with no GP coming into the game. Jagex changes stars, 25k/hr click 5 or so times in 1hour, GP coming into game from clay packs and gems, and the biggest con... nukes worlds to 2k population (especially during prime play time). Great decision Jagex............ (I am abusing this like nuts until changed, if ever. But still not "good" for the game overall)
