LJS Exotics and Aquatics well mines fine with it and mines in perfect health. Can't leave the tank with rotting bits of fish in it, not only does it look bad it smells bad. So what you're are saying a hardy fish like a golden cobra snakehead can live in shit but not in clean water. maybe if you leave them living in shit for long periods of time they're dodgy with change.
@adelesimmonds36879 жыл бұрын
maybe but if you intend to breed them if you do a water change that bond can be snapped so easily and you will have a fight and why do you have rotting bits of fish shouldn't you remove them when feedings over also i only agreed with the other commenter because a snakehead breeder wrote an article in pfk on snakeheads and said if your gonna keep more than 1 heavily plant there tank so there is visual barriers and that they do not like change he cleaned his tanks once every 8 months or so and he has some of the best looking fish and has bred his fish

LJS Exotics and Aquatics I only have one now. I don't leave rotting bits of fish in the tank that's why I said nonsense to not cleaning the tank, you do know if the fish injures itself it's more likely to get infected if the tank has poor conditions. I would agree if I had any problems with my fish but I don't. obviously when cleaning the tank I'm not taking all the water out cleaning the filter ect...ect... all at the same time, I just use a hoes pipe to suck out bits of fish shit or whatever else looks unsightly then top it back up. the way the other guy said it was as if you fill it up put the fish in and never touch it again, which is misleading to anyone thinking if they get these fish there is no work to be done, I normally do more of a clean in the different seasons when I also change the temp of the tank.
