Thanks, again, for another wonderful opportunity to visit "home". New Orleans will always be home for me, even though I have not lived there for many years. I've visited on numerous occasions, but it never seems that we have enough time to do everything that we want to do, or to see everything that we want to see. Your videos allow us an opportunity to "be there", while not there in real time. I appreciate the time that you put into making these productions, and the better than high quality of your presentations.

Samuel Chambers thank you, as always! We’ll begin an out of town series this weekend but there will be more local videos to come.

Thanks Jason for another armchair ride around NOLA. Great to see the tram car and the railway line which looks like a freight line.As a suggestion , if you're able, would you please go past your local Tv & radio stations assuming they're not in tall buildings? Thanks in advance.

Richard Felstead WWL-TV is in this video on North Rampart Street on the left side, 3 blocks past Esplanade. Not sure how well you’ll be able to see the studio though. In the US, all TV and Radio stations have 4 letters (with only a few that have 3 letters). Stations east of the Mississippi River start with W and west of the Mississippi start with K. The radio stations tend to be in big office buildings downtown. The radio stations owned by Clear Channel Communications are all consolidated into one small studio on Howard Avenue. Nothing to look at from the outside. I’m not even sure I could pick the building out anymore. At one time it was the WNOE building and it was all over the front of the building, but now, I believe there isn’t even a sign.

I don't think I'd like to drive on a with tracks

It's not too bad...you just have to stay off of the rails, especially if it's raining. Roads with tracks typically have the tracks offset enough that you can avoid actually driving on them.

Thanks for the ride. Are the palm trees in the neutral ground and alongside the road sick or just in need of trimming?
@504RoadTrips6 жыл бұрын
Probably just in need of trimming. We had a hard freeze here this year that lasted several days. Most palm trees needed the fronds trimmed off after that. The city probably neglected to do it.
