I hated driving over this bridge when I lived there but never appreciated it for what a good piece of infrastructure it actually is. If I had to wait in line for a tunnel I would rather get to Galveston through Bolivar and take the ferry. I now am fortunate to have occasion to drive over the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan a few times a year and it is a great experience every time. I stumbled across this video and now realize I have driven over many impressive and not so impressive bridges in many states. I will definitely check out your videos and see if there are any more that I know.

The Fred Hartman Bridge looks like the Centennial Bridge in Panama.

Nice I really enjoy these videos. I travel this bridge quite frequently going to Texas city or the container terminals at Barbours cut. I prefer going in via bolivar peninsula cause of the ferry. I really enjoy the history of the roads that we travel. In the houston iv gotten curious about market st and Clinton drive not being from there it's bit hard to look this stuff up.

Glad you like them! Can't answer any questions about Houston. My experience there is very limited.
