Awesome compilation! Really puts things into perspective before the comp! In my opinion Hicksy looks like the guy most likely to do it but for some reason he has tendency to not perform on comp day. Hope he stays lazer focused on the task at hand. Makarov looks strong but his lockout is so questionable sometimes

Just goes to show, some days are easier than others lol I've experienced that myself. my top three in this competition 1. Ivan Makarov 2. Rauno Heinla 3: Graham Hicks You could switch ivan and rauno, as i see there is an equal chance that one of them gets the record. Rauno is looking strong this year, and the 486kh by Ivan is possibly his best deadlift so far when looking at the form. Hicks is also a good contender, but he had some tear scares in his prep, so he dropped doing 470 in training. But he is 100% 475 or even the world record. If he doesn't get it this year, he will be back for more next year.

Yes, he has even talked about doing something about the deadlift record in the video where he announced he will be doing powerlifting and deadlift a year ago. His recovery seems good so he will probably return next year, if he doesn't wanna give powerlifting one more go

None of these guys are capable of 500. ut it will be fun to watch. No one visible to the community is capable and it will be at least 10 years before we see someone come along and develop into the one.. Eddie very very clearly never locked out, but you know that.
