50i OR 50p?! - Which Looks Best?!

No that was good man. I kinda liked the 720 50p. I felt like it had the strobeck visual. I was just looking at my hvx200 and I didn’t see a 50i or 50p. I have been thinking about going to 30fps but I need to do some testing to see if that’s what I want to do

Quick question, i got the hvx200 and when i shot 1080i/25p i got blackbars when i record. Will these blackvars shiw when i export the film aswell? Or will it go to full aspect ratio?

The black bars are just how the HVX screen shows the image. If you went into SD 4:3 it'd fill the frame!

I hardly see any change, but some how i find the 50p look unreal. like it always is in more speed.

well, actually its not like more speed, it just you're kinda getting double the lines in one frame.. so thats why you see it smoother they use 50i to reduce the usage of the bandwidth for example for fast data transfer 50i video displays even and odd scan lines as separate fields/ separate frames like one time only odd and one time only even 50p displays both the even and odd scan lines (the entire video frame) at the same time

Nice comparison. I think you could provoke worse results by doing more extreme movements left/right instead of mainly up/down🤔 Having that said, the worst footage with interlaced videos I've ever seen, was when the camera itself was moved around left/right.

why in your video both 50i and 50p looks like 25p.. bad comparison.. your video is rendered at 50fps but these footages doesn't look like 50p and 50i.. both look like 25p..

In my defense this wasn't supposed to be a public video, this was for me to see if I could spot the difference. But I can confirm that this was shot at 50i and 50p, I'm not sure why it looks 25p to you but I will admit I could some better things to really demonstrate the framerate better

If u watching it on Nokia 3310 this is why u get 25p. Yes, its not the best but at least we know there is no much difference if any.
