I grew up in the Deep South where fish is a very important part of the meals and using proper tools to prepare the meals is just as important. Daniel must likely didn’t know to ask for the correct knife

We got both types of ramen being served (the menu was not long - it also changes every day, it seems) as well as an appetizer. There was a lot of flavor depth to every dish. The vegetables were extremely fresh, all of the ingredients were great quality. A great meal, definitely recommend!

Not everyone grew up fishing and learning how to filet a fish. I've been doing my entire life, and still not a pro at it. In fact, doing it is my least favorite part of any fishing trip. I always elect to be the cook.

I’ve never filleted a fish myself…gutted one, yes, but it was cooked whole afterwards…but I also have watched enough Reed the Fishmonger that I think I could manage it a little better than Daniel, if given a proper knife.

Both are quite different in the way they initially wanted to prepare salmon. In my family, it's seasoned with garlic, parsley and virburnum or rowan.

In Indonesia the Kakiage will be called Bakwan, and for like 3 pens you can buy one in the streetstall. They fry it fresh every time someone comes, and it serves with green birdchillys. they also sell Tempe and Tahu ( tofu ) goreng mean fry depending on the seller and region they sometimes even sell a whole range of fry.
