The "F" stands for Function Mode, which you can customize to either "Tripod Mode" or "Attitude Mode" in the Pilot App. Hope this can help.

7” screen makes a huge difference compared to a tiny 5.5” screen which is what most phones and the SC controller use. It may not seem like much but after using a small screen and changing to any device with a 7” to 10” screen, it changes the entire flying experience. This is the reason I went with iPad Mini 5 with an almost 8” screen which if measured is over twice the size of a 5.5” screen. What a Game changer. Too much money for my poor hobby stuff since I can’t make money but nice. 🤙🏼

I would love this controller for my M2P. Why don't they have the pre-flight stuff for all drones? It's the consumer flyers who need to be reminded to do that. I hope they'll consider porting that view to the Smart Controller. This whole system has me drooling. This is probably my dream device (the M30 and this controller).

Your overview videos are better than the manual! I've read it from pg1 all the way through pg126 and learned more from your flight demo and this video :) btw - Flight mode "F" is because it isn't only "Tripod Mode". It is multi-"F"unction mode. Pressing that can activate either Tripod or Attitude mode.

2:54 let me make a correction here. That is not "tripod mode". It is F for "Function Mode". In the Pilot app you can set what that function is: "Cine Mode" or "Atti Mode". "Tripod mode" changed name to "Cine mode" on all DJI Controllers. Many experienced pilots love Atti Mode and you can put it under this lever at its "F" position.

I wish you were located closer to the east coast. I’d love to see the M30 up close…. (Concept - use a drone with larger payload capabilities to “fly” a portable 2-way UHF radio repeater -Hytera has a 2lb 5watt unit- over a large area multi-agency area of operation. It would allow for phenomenal long-range comms and interoperability as well) Our volunteer fire department uses an older Mavic 2 zoom for most operations requiring drone use. (donating it permitted me to justify buying a combo of the Air-2s and RC-Pro and a DJI-FPV Racer LOL) Thanks as always. You sure have come a long way. Keep up the fantastic videos.

Nice review of the drone and controller. Wish DJI would put that much effort in the consumer drone equipment. I don’t mind waiting if they make that much of an upgrade on newer models. One last thing I was curious about I don’t recall anyone making mention of it, but when you review drones that are on loan from companies do you have to register them or are they pre registered and you’re given a contract to fly them?

DJI Enterprise site has some resources, but I think most have to sign up with a third party. There aren't very many out there. Maybe a business opportunity!

@@51Drones Something else I was thinking about the M30 and M300. They are rated to fly in the rain but this runs afoul of the VLOS requirement. If its raining out there the PIC is going to lose visual pretty quickly. SAR is going to be hard to do without being able to fly BVLOS even in good weather.

Yes. You can do a quick Google search, but I believe the Mini 2, Air 2, Air 2S, Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro, the Mavic Enterprise and the Phantom 4 v2.

A shame something like this with a large bright screen isn't available for consumer drones like the M3, A2s, etc. The current smart controller's screen is just too small and sadly the crystal sky will never be compatible with our newer drones.
