Good video 👏👌 Yes. I loved 52. It was a prequel to the Geoff Johns amazing Booster Gold series that ended with Flashpoint. I bought the floppies at the time. I loved the mystery behind Supernova. I must say that it was enjoyable to read at the time in real time. I remember reading the World War 3 mini series with a violent version of Nightwing and Black Adam's rampage across the globe.

@@TheComicBookReport You should. Booster Gold is one of my all time favourite DC comics. The late Keith Giffen wrote some brilliant stories during that run.

Grant Morrison really set up his grande story so tightly through his titles at DC it's crazy, Animal Man>JLA>Seven Soldiers>52>Batman>Final Crisis> Multiversity>Green Lantern. 52 introduces a lot of core concepts that would come to play in Final Crisis and post Infinite Crisis as a whole.

Doom Patrol and Flex Mentallo for sure but I'd say his Vertigo specific titles are of their own merit, but it can be argued Morrison is telling one "hyper" story through all his work. My Morrison work to this day is Batman Incorporated or Flex Mentallo.@@zatmurad​

@@TheComicBookReport their ability to take a character who was at best C-list, and bring in family dynamics, environmental awareness, and a meta commentary on superheroes were things that stood out for me. Animal Man is also the least convoluted and a more Morrison-friendly read for anyone to pick up.

Great review. I'm so excited to read this series. I bought the omni a few months ago, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I want to find the Infinite Crisis omni first. I've read the Infinite Crisis paperback, but never with the tie-ins. I love the event, but I know I'll get so much more out of it when I read the whole omni.

I should have read this years ago, but I was under the mistaken impression that it wasn't very good. I first got into DC comics in 2008 when Trinity was being published. I'd heard that Trinity was a weekly follow up to 52, and Trinity kinda sucked. So I just assumed that 52 had sucked too. Whoops. Rookie mistake.

I hope you enjoy this when you get to it! I had the infinite crisis paperback for years until I finally got a copy of the omnibus and I’m convinced that’s the definitive way to read it. im new to comics, how is this different from the new 52 omnibus vol 1 n 2. which is better for a new reader?

So “new 52” is an era of DC comics that occurred after the event known as Flashpoint. There isn’t a “new 52” series, rather there were new 52 era runs on comics like Batman, Justice League, Superman and so on. Does that make sense? So I’m not clear which omnibuses you are referring to without more information. This omnibus is the 52 event that occurred after a big DC Comics event know as infinite crisis. This is a ways before new52 era
