I got crazy lucky and picked my 2.0 r spec up for 4 grand, for the prices genesis coupes go for there really is no competing with it, except for maybe a 350z. I agree, having a chasis mounted shifter and a poly trans bushing has fixed the shifting drastically. I'll still get second gear grind/lockout rarely every now and then, but the shifting feels so much more visceral and connected. They also just look freaking cool. I have a 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8, but it is stock because I am too poor to do anything with it. Searching for jobs soon. The problem with these cars is most people try to boost them without having extra parts added to the engine first, such as rods and pistons. The engines don't last without them, based on all of my research. I would like to get my LS3 or 2JZ swapped someday. N/A is fine for the car, but it gets dangerous when adding larger turbo or supercharger. 2.0 actually blow up more than 3.8. Brian Paul can tell you more about these cars. He has a 700whp 2.0 Genesis Coupe. I am sure he will pop up in the comments somewhere.

What a great build but it seriously needs a carbon front lip on the front. It looks incomplete. Hopefully the owner had one and took it off for some reason or it’s being repaired from damage. That’s all I feel this beauty needs to be done perfectly.

I just got the new front bumper for it. It is getting painted in a week or so then I'll order a new lip. The old lip was busted up. Thank you for the compliment...

The second generation (bk2) gen coupe 2.0s have much stronger internals and are known to hold 400-500whp on stock internals with a top mount setup. They’re pretty easy to mod and work on. Sadly very few people appreciate or know of the potential these cars have. I personally own one with 340whp with basic bolt ons and Im pretty used to give people their surprises

I remember when these came out and I was so looking forward to a "4B11 based RWD sports coupè" at a reasonable price. Then they became the broke boys Z33, which is also a broke boy car a lot of the time, but I digress. Nice to see one done well. They have a lot of potential and the few blown 3800s around sound fantastic. Nice car.

I'm currently rebuilding my 2010 genesis 2.0t, may I ask where to find the info on this build and what was done? I would definitely like to base it off of it with such power. The sounds is amazing too.

The genesis coupe is the pioneer of the beautiful new cars Hyundai and Kia have such as the Veloster turbo, Veloster N, Kia Optima, Elantra, stinger etc. This sparked the sporty heritage in the Korean underdog company
