BMW E60 5-Series A/C Cabin Air Filter Replacement

My coworker told me that Century BMW in Huntsville, AL quoted him $300 to perform this procedure. I had him order filters from the parts house for $18 and we'll be swapping them in the parking lot. Thanks a bunch for this helpful video.

The carbon activated filters are expensive from BMW. BMW is a middleman parts supplier and they charge way to much. Hence "stealership."

Those don't filter recirculated air from the interior. They filter the fresh air from the environment.

That’s exactly what it does. It’s to prevent exterior odors from entering the cabin. I don’t think it has anything do with recirculating the air.
