Next season, do 52 temples in 52 weeks. Showcase the history of each temple. They are all unique and special in the community. It's sad to see anti-mormons ty to stop their building. (Especially anti Mormons posing as active members traveling across the entire globe just to protest a new temple in a different country)

Look into the experiences of the first converts. We have hundreds of journals and records on miracles, visions, reactions to new doctrine, and accounts of those who knew Joseph Smith personally. They will always trump any opinions that anyone can give you. I'm curious about your own family history as well. If your from Wisconsin, you likely have ancestors who would have at least known about Joseph Smith, for better or for worse.

To be a Covenant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you need to have your own testimony. For those of us who convert as adults, well…. We bring along a lot of baggage: old attitudes, old habits, old vocabulary (!). I joined the Church at the age of 23 in 1966. Much of what lifelong members already knew was brand new to me. And, dear brother, there IS a learning curve! But gradually the Gospel and the culture will become part of your bones. But is is frequently said that being immersed in the Gospel from youth is no guarantee of a testimony. Each of us needs conversion. At 82 I am still learning to control my mouth (one of my greatest challenges), and I’m finding that my testimony of the Book of Mormon is growing. So never think there is an end to learning. There isn’t, unless you choose to stop. 😊 Virtual hugs from Houston.

I am from Chile, pioneers in the 50 used to travel to the US and then Brazil to get their sealings and endowments. It was an enormous economic effort and the only time members got to enter the temple in their lifetimes. Only a few could afford it. Then in 1985 we got the first temple in our country.

This 64 year old life long member of the LDS Church looks so forward to your videos!! We are the grandparents to 9 amazing littles, and we love them all so much!! Hearing your conversion story and your continued progress in the Church makes me so happy!! I've had 64 years in the Church and I am still learning, so you don't need to try and learn everything right away. Just focus on the feelings you had when The Holy Ghost bore witness to you of the truthfulness of the things you were learning. I am so happy that you are on the Covenant Path and that you are progressing toward the Temple and eventually marriage. We raised our children in Provo, Utah, but as empty nesters we are currently living in Fresno California until we retire, and then we will go back to Utah. We have the cutest small Temple here in Fresno!! In fact, my husband and I, and my parents went to that Temple today to do some Sealings. Aren't we so blessed that the world is being dotted with Temples, and making it more accessible for members around the globe!! 🙏❤️ I am glad that you are not rushing into marriage. When the time is right, and probably when you least expect it, that perfect woman for you will come into your life. That is one video I am really looking forward to!! 😉 And also your video of the day you & your fiancée go to a Temple to be married and Sealed together for all time & eternity!! Can you tell that we are planning on you making videos for years to come so we can watch your continued life's journey!! I can already tell that you are going to be one amazing husband & father, and that you are going to do great things in the Church!! Love you Brother Boice!! ❤️ 🙏

Dear Friend, Brother Boice, It has been a JOY to watch your journey this past year. Your faith walk on the Covenant Path has put a brighter light in your countenance! Your insights are far beyond most new members who have not put as much effort into a relationship with Christ as you have. Congratulations on your ordination. Your first opportunity to bless the Sacrament will be ‘especially special’ for you. Tonight while waiting for a Temple session I was talking to a lady from Utah about our So Cal Temple. As we were whispering I introduced her to 52 in 52 and briefly told her about your journey..she’s probably the 15th person I have steered your direction. You have a lot of fans cheering you on. I think that's what having a modern day prophet is all about, but also recent conference talks have also reaffirmed this more recently saying the restoration was not a single event but an ongoing process. Yes, the buck may stop with what the prophets have established but new light, knowledge, insight, should continue to flow as a church body through leadership but also as individual saints in our own lives and stewardships.

I just noticed that the image of Christ you showed was of him holding a black sheep… Could be a sign I needed today. Also the picture of Christ that I’ve not seen in years brought tears to my eyes , it’s pure love and kindness just as I picture him in real life. Forward fearlessly David. How I wish I had your passion, your posts remind me that Christ is willing, waiting, wanting us all to come to him. Can you imagine being embraced by those arms? I need to put my big boy pants on and get his presence and teachings a priority in my life. For anyone out there relating to the black sheep…please watch ( He will place you on his shoulders and carry you home) by president Dieter F Uchtdorf. It is a Christ inspired talk to anyone who has ever felt the gift of the Holy Ghost, and might still be in their lost stage. It hits home just how much we don’t realize how much love our savior has for us. You look great in the suit David , love the tie also. All my love everyone… Tyler

Greetings to you from New Zealand. I had my first contact with the Church when I was 15 and I was barely 10 minutes into my discussion with the missionaries when I knew that what they were saying was true. I was a bit worried about not having the scriptural knowledge to support my belief at first but I very quickly received a conviction that there would be an answer for every question that I asked in faith. That has been the way it has been for the last 65 years or so. The amazing thing is that the more you learn the more you realise how much else there is to learn. The gospel is eternal, our destiny is eternal and the possibilities are limitless. I wish you every blessing as you step out on that water. Trust in the Lord and be true. Much love.

David, here is where the reference to a stake comes from. Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;” I’ve been watching you for a long time and have always appreciated your genuine approach and honest open appreciation for everyone who loves the Savior. I was super happy to see you visit a congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Hey David, God bless you, my brother! You are being so brave and strong in this world putting your heart in your journey out there for us to see your example, I’m certain you have already helped so many people by sharing your humble spiritual journey with all of us. As a new convert from being a protestant to join the LDS church, if you ever feel like a misfit within the LDS church or like you don’t quite fit in, I’m right there with you, brother! I love the gospel. I love, heavenly father I love our church leaders, and I love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I can assure you as a heavy metal musician, professionally lifelong playing in bars and clubs and big stages and bands. I can assure you that I have felt like a misfit in the church for many decades. Because of my family situation I am the guy who goes to church alone every week until recently when my wife Began coming with me. I’ve been going alone to church for decades. I’m not at all surprised that you have not received very much verbal abuse at this tender time as a new convert. Unfortunately, sooner or later you were going to have your trials and tests of your faith as a member of the LDS Church. Sooner or later you’re going to meet a member of the church or several members who treat you unkindly or are unfair or our judgmental or are rude or who said a bad example and sooner or later the adversary will get you to question your faith. Hang in there, my brother! Know that Jesus Christ is right there with you walking alongside you every day step-by-step even though you can’t feel him a lot of times. Know that you are not alone even though you might feel alone in those future days when those trials will come. And unfortunately, David those trials will come. They come for all of us and they come again and again and various ceases in our life. I’m so grateful to come across your channel and follow you on your spiritual journey and I’ve told numerous friends about your channel. Hang in there stay faithful be strong even when members of the LDS church are not being strong and our giving you difficulty your pain. Forgive them trust the Lord and move forward. He will raise up friends and People to help and guide you in every way if you will just stay faithful, take it one day at a time and trust the savior and trust our heavenly father and trust our living prophets apostles, and all of our auxiliary church leaders. My heart goes out to you God bless you, brother!

As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Crhist of Latter-day Saints, it is a joy whenever I hear of or see someone embrace the restored gospel and church. It is no easy thing these days for people to be sufficiently humble to allow the Spirit to work in their hearts to bring them ever closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. I certainly wish you well as you continue on the covenant path. It is not an especially easy path, by any means, though the rewards of peace, joy, and enduring hope are well worth every effort.

Hello David, Thanks for another excellent and uplifting message. I am a 5th generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My ancestors lived in Kirtland, Independence, suffered and died crossing the plains and went where they were sent by Brigham Young so I have a great heritage, but I could only rely on their legacy for so long. It was a long and difficult struggle, but I have come to know for myself, independent of anyone or anything that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and this is the Lord's restored Church. I had to go from crawling, to teetering, to walking boldly along the Covenant Path. I love the poem by Dee Groberg entitled The Race. Toward the end it says, "all you have to do to win, is rise each time you fall". I see the fruits of your conversion and they are wonderful. Enjoy and continue the journey.

Brother Boice ~ When I was 14 years old there were 14 temples worldwide. When I was a freshman @Ricks College (later BYU-I), a temple in South Jordan, Utah was under construction; that was uptown for the west residents of the Salt Lake valley. That temple has been the most working temple of the church. I was married in the Salt Lake Temple. Since then I have visited all of the Utah temples with the exception of those currently under construction. The Primary song, "I Love To See the Temple" is where I stand for Jesus Christ and the ancestors of the living. I love to also visit temples in other states; it's part of my 'Dream Journey.' You'll get to where you want and need to be in time. Pace yourself. All of the 'Utah Mormons' are cheering you on. Best regards, Shirlee Graff-Allen Salt Lake City, Utah

You are so far ahead of the curve compared to most new members, but the neat thing is, you don’t need to compare yourself to any other member, new or old. My dear wife and I are so thrilled that you have taken the time, researched The Church and allowed the Spirit to teach you the truth of the Gospel. I know you probably receive countless invitations to visit other church members, but if you attend with us in the St. Charles Ward, you will have a most wonderful experience. I lived in Missouri 35 years ago where our closest temple was Dallas Texas. As a “branch” (a very small version of a ward, we had 50-60 members from about a 2 hour radius attend weekly), we would take everyone 12 and up once a year on a 9 hour bus ride to Texas, do temple work all day, stay overnight and drive home. As a youth I got to attend once. I live in Utah now and get to attend weekly and am so impressed with how many youth I see there when I go. It’s such a gift to have it close.

I have lots of plans to help them, and I expect that it'll be a slow process. I have recently been praying for guidance with our upcoming 5th Sunday primary lesson about covenants. When you talked about Peter's journey walking on water being like the covenant path, I was hit by the spirit that this needs to be part of my lesson to these children. Your analogy is such a profound and powerful image that I had never thought of before. Thank you for your amazing insight!

@22:17 Love the example of the Good Samaritan, I think that's one of the great points of that story. He wasn't a Jew he wasn't someone that thought the way the Jews did. But he had a heart of Christ, and that is what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about. It's not about what you know in your head, it's about how your heart is.

You talk about being surprised that people haven’t “raked you over the coals” as much as you expected. Sometimes the greatest challenges and persecutions come from within our own minds and hearts when we allow doubt, uncertainty, or just plain “tired of doing this” get in the way of continuing on the covenant path. You have spiritual tenacity like I’ve never witnessed and your remarkable desire for truth will carry you through any challenges you face. Keep carrying on!

Keep up with your KZbin videos Dave. You remind me so much of myself, when I found the fullness of the Gospel 50 years ago. I’m now 70. I am planning on staying with the faith to the end. It’s great to see your story. Remain strong. The devil will try to vilify you. But, you will never be alone.

I served a mission five decades ago. Have been married in the temple, raised three sons who also served missions and married in the temple. I have served as a temple worker with my husband. My favorited experience has been to watch people grow in the gospel. Watching many life long friends that came from my mission, friends in my personal life, friends in my work life, and friends in the ward. In all of that I have not heard the depth of what you have experienced. I thank you for your candidness. The one suggestion I have is the understanding that whether one converts as an adult or one that has been a life long member the conversion process is still the same: "Line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little." I understand you want it all--there is no end and there is eternity to learn it all. I would like to know your reaction to learning other's conversion stories and what they taught you.

That’s awesome! Yay congrats on getting the Aaronic priesthood! You will get the Melchizedek priesthood next. I will tell you that I have seen changes in you as I have watched your videos! There is a sparkle in your eyes, true joy in your face, the healthier glow to your face too because of your choice to abstain from alcohol, plus your confidence is strong too and you seem more at peace overall! It’s wonderful to witness! When I grew up in Michigan we had to drive 8 hours to the DC temple until they built Chicago n that was 5 hours away. They now have a Detroit Temple. In CA where we live we moved to be closer to the Sacramento temple. We are 30 min away instead of 90 min to either Oakland temple or Sac temple. About dating- I am quite sure you already have single women your age who are solid members who are interested in dating you when you’re ready. You will be blessed with a wonderful future spouse because you’re praying and trying to stay close to God. My daughter did meet her wonderful husband on the mutual app BUT there were several guys who weren’t solid members on there as well, so she had to sort through that. I pray for you to have someone who not only is a woman of God but someone who will love and adore you with genuine kindness. There ARE good ones out there. God will bless you and we all can’t wait to see it all unfold IF you choose to share that part of your life. SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!

The things with notes is; I used to take them all the time tried getting them word for word... Then some advice from Elder Bednar was "what am I hearing that isn't being said" or what is the spirit telling me, those are the notes to take. So often I have been listening and then a name or a idea of service comes to mind that I had not considered before, and miracles happen on follow through to those thoughts!

As our leaders have reminded us, time and time again, conversion is a life long pursuit. This life is a time of testing, a time of learning, a time of discovery as to our relationship with God and Jesus Christ, and our purpose for being. As a convert myself learning about God and Jesus Christ and my relationship with them, and to them, has made all the difference in what would have been my otherwise doomed life. I honestly do not want to think of where I would be today without the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It's too scary to even think about. You are fine, David. We are here for you, to help you, to talk with you, to support you. Even from across the pond. Kind regards, Gina Mac of Queensland, Australia. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺

I love the boat analogy especially as it relates to Peter walking on water. For me I have recently felt that my life is much like Lehis dream and I am wandering through the midst of darkness. Sometimes I can't see the tree, but I can see lights beside me lighting up the path ahead. Those lights are my ward family members who have helped me get through hardships one step at a time through the darkness. Some lights are not very bright, but in the darkest of dark even just a tiny light can be such a huge blessing. Makes me appreciate all those lights whether they are big or small. I may not be able to se the entire path before me, but I always seem to be able to find that next step when I need it.

I have been going through a long trial of faith but learning to love the church again. Almost a child like reminiscent time in being a part of the church for me. I feel that as church members and fellow believers in Christ all around the world of different faiths we need to stand united and uplifting towards one another and not tear down and demean eachother or tear down others faith experiences. A step towards Christ is a win in the battle of good and evil and deserves recognition and validation.

I’m so glad to hear you are taking the gospel principles class. That class has about a year’s worth of lessons and will make a huge difference in building your knowledge and growing your testimony. We also drive over 3 hours to attend the temple. Previously it was over 5 when I first joined the church. Temple work is hard work and a sacrifice but it’s also a labor of love. Living further away means we make it more of a priority. We’ve had many people from our west move into our branch and say I wish I attended more when it was closer. They had a temple 20 minutes away or less and didn’t attend as often as people in our branch. Another thing that’s worth mentioning is that very likely in WI you’ll have more opportunities to serve in callings and in leadership positions than in a more LDS populated area like our west. A friend from UT that was in our branch said it’s real easy to be a member in UT because so many people are. Not as many things are asked of people where there are more members. She said living in my area and in a branch in a less LDS area gave her the opportunity to grow her testimony in ways she didn’t have the opportunity in UT. She spoke in sacrament meeting at least a couple times a year, had many different callings and leadership positions. In UT she said it be perhaps 2 or more years in between sacrament talks and she never had any of the callings she had here. She mentioned that one really has a great opportunity to develop a strong testimony when living in a less LDS populated area. Based on knowing her and meeting other transplants into our branch I’d rather be a member where there’s more opportunities for service and growth. Sounds like you are on your way on the covenant path. For a little extra Conference talk encouragement for study I’d recommend the podcast Words of the Prophets. They review 2 talks weekly from the most recent general conference. As you read a talk you can follow up with the podcast and it will help you gain knowledge. I highly recommend the podcast. I always gain a perspective or insight I may have otherwise missed! I’m so delighted that you’re checking back with us your fans. This episode had me reflecting on nearly 29 years ago next month when I joined the church. Best thing I ever did

Wow. Thank you, David. I absolutely love "Protestant brain with a Latter-day Saint lens." I also love that you point out that the Lord does not question what is the theology of the good Samaritan (the hero in that story). When it came time to step up and represent the Lord to someone else, he was the one. His heart was full of the Lord's unspoken teachings even if his theology was imperfect. You made a sort of comparison of Latter-day Saint church goers to Protestant preachers. It is often an uncomfortable question when someone asks, "are you a preacher?" I usually answer no because of the cultural context, but the truth is if you are an actively attending church member, studying the scriptures and striving to live God's laws, you are a preacher and a pastor and a missionary; you might not be much of a cantor, but you are full of the love of Christ, scriptural understanding, sermons, and pastoral compassion. I lament that sometimes I perceive settings where many people are there but only a small handful of clergy are spiritually growing and the congregants seem to lean real hard on those folks and their testimonies (This does happen in the LDS Church as well but is discouraged). That system is unfair to the preachers as well as the congregants. I love you. I am proud of you. Great job.

I know there is a lot to learn and come to understand, but all the answers are there. Have Grace with yourself and the speed at which you are able to come to understand all of this knowledge. The Temple will also feel overwhelming when that time comes but again, all the answers are there and in the end you will REALLY see how much God loves you and all of us. Your inner peace will come to be almost so strong that your words will fail you to describe it. God Bless

Thank you for sharing today! And thanks for making a very small miracle happen. Today was a rather difficult day with some person and work related issues going on. So I decided to take a break and go for a run up City Creek during lunch and get things "right in my head" so to speak. During my run I had my iPhone and iPods and was listening to some church music . First one that came on was "Praise to the Man", then "Iron Rod," followed by "We'll Bring the World His Truth". at the end "Let Us All Press on" kept looping over and over. (At least 4 times) until my run ended. Then I came back to my desk and started listening to your video. Again "Let Us All Press On!" I think the message for me today came over loud and clear. And like I said a small miracle - thanks to you. I so enjoy your videos. They are a highlight and inspiration

That's one of my favorite things about the gospel! you're always moving towards something and you have the ability to further dedicate yourself and put in effort, rather than be baptized and be done. Temple work is one of my favorite things to do because it's just one more step of dedication and a great way to serve others and connect with our Heavenly Father and Christ!
