i did a lot of magic in my youth (hobby) had lessons, but later in live got sick and my hands where trembling so I lost what i had...It was a loss that i could not recover from. Now I'm 54 and discovered your channel, and thanks to you i started practising again, but due to limitations, I select the effects more carefully, so that i'm sure, it's the right thing for me. Well Assad Thanks for that, mate, after years and years of no magic, magic is back in my live again!

Woah!! I've been doing card magic for about a year now and this trick TOTALLY wowed my family!! 😂😂
@iamgort706 жыл бұрын
I do this differently, and it kills. As they are putting what they think is their card back in the deck, I reinforce the control of them by saying, " keep your eyes on the deck" at that misdirection I lick the back of their actual card and stick it smack bang or my forehead! You can even have some gecko grip on your forehead all the time if you want in pre prep so it's a guaranteed grip!! You would not believe how many people see nothing, especially when you've told them to keep and eye on the cards! You square up the deck and push the cards out in front of them, doing some nice shuffles, flourishes whatever, and you can keep talking the whole time, telling them to watch out for their card as it's about to appear. I've actually had people burning so hard on the deck that I have been able to talk for like 3 minutes or so before they eventually glance up! I've even had one spec that I had TO TELL THEM TO LOOK INTO MY EYES to force them to realise that their card has been on my forehead the whole time! It kills so much when you pull it off!!
@samuelwaller49245 жыл бұрын
what i do is the second they look up i do the pass or a plam or somthing like that to bring it face up on top. Its kind of cool, and it convinces them to keep their eyes on the deck. then i do card to mouth and its perfect!
@celerya83654 жыл бұрын
I do something similar, I wedge the card between my chin and the top of my shirt - this way I'm still able to talk as I'm shuffling.

I do a three phase one using the same method: 1) Card to mouth 2) Card to pocket or card behind ear (stuff it in the arms of my glasses) 3) Card through hand or box (control second from top and do a sandwich thing)

I like this because it gives you the chance to bring the spectators in really close so they are looking straight down on the deck. The more you can get them to watch closely, the more fun it is when they see the card in your mouth!

I realise this video has been up for a while now,but I had to Leave feedback for a good reason. This was the first time I had ever seen the card to mouth trick and so had to try it. Without any practise I showed it on 2 occasions and both times the reaction was fantastic. I had assumed I would be nervous being so brazen with the move but it felt smooth and strangely innocuous. So thank you for a great finisher and confidence builder. Apologies for the essay, yours truly, a beginner magician (hopefully)

An interesting idea I like is to move to the side or way back or behind the spectator purportedly to get as far away from them as reasonably possible so you can't do anything sneaky once you've switched the card or palmed it or whatever method you're gonna use to retain it. Gives you all the cover in the world and justified too
@DonovanWert4 жыл бұрын

I remember the first time I ever tried this trick, I used my wife as a practice dummy and she's so impervious to misdirection. She's so interested in what I'm saying she just stares at my face the entire time and it's kind of hilarious. Literally the only person I've ever performed this on and it not worked. She's really supportive of my magic and loves it when I do tricks so she was just bright eyed and busy tailed staring at my face as I spoke. And I was like "I'm gonna' need to learn how to misdirect you differently."

Hey Asad! Been a fan of yours for the past 3 years. Just an advice though. Next time you use the 52kard shop as a sponsor. You should definitely include like a 10 or 15% off code at checkout. Awesome handling I do it a different way and this tricks works just perfectly and gets awesome reactions. But definetly will be using your method, I think it reduces the chances of an spectator noticing anything
@jakestone67936 жыл бұрын
I do this with the card back to the audience - For me it opens the door for a better production. Both ways are great. It just depends on how you end it.
@kenshimizu35626 жыл бұрын
The way I perform this effect is by telling the spectator to keep their "eye on the card" and instead of putting the card in my mouth, I slide in in my glasses, in front of my eye so I can end with a little joke by saying that the goal was to keep your eye on the card. This is a nice option for magicians who wear glasses and I think the revelation of it on your eye is a little better than card to mouth.
