I saw a video of Bill Goodwin performing "King Brand", and I immediately wanted to buy penumbra issue 1, but it is really hard to find. Than I read a comment under that video saying that a certain Simon Black had the best version of that trick, called "Gold Standard". After that I searched the internet for that trick and discovered that Simon teaches his variation freely on KZbin! Great magician and great person, thanks a lot!

+Elliot Gerrard I think I know what is wrong. What many don't know about the Elmsley Count is that after taking the first single card, you are supposed to push off all the cards above the last card. So, in a 4-card Elmsley Count, the one Asad teaches, you push off a DOUBLE, while in this case, where there are 5 cards, you are supposed to push off a TRIPLE. I think this is your problem and I hope this helps.

+infanzer Just keep training, try adjust your grip with longfinger and thumb. I had the same problem but one day it just worked for me. Good luck!

To be completely honest, I have King Brand by Bill Goodwin and I actually prefer this version. The handling feels a lot more comfortable and looks more natural, so overall yeah Gold Standard over King Brand
