Mr.Panditharatne! I completely agree with your comment. All those,so called bloody politicians of each party in this country have ruined this resourceful Island drastically themselves and by their henchmen from Juniors Richard period to his nephew Ranil Wickrama- Single.I'm pretty sure whoever comes into power, in future too won't take any legal actions on these matters. The most worried thing is that a great nation has been de-graded by those insane, sinful bloody politicians,as to one of the poorest country in the world.
This video is an eye opener. One can understand the scale of corruption done by the politicians of this country. Please do a video on the number of properties that still function under the private management

Corruption led to privatization?

@@VirdanRach The problem here politicians privatise the state institutions which are earned profit. may be the corruption existed in the institution but it is not an excuse to large scale corruption. The ruling party politicians involved with large scale corruption with aid of government officers after 1977

Excellent work! It must have been a challenging task to find all the details. As part of neocolonialism, the Western countries led by the US wanted developing countries to restructure & privatise public enterprises. Their agenda has been to create a path for Western companies to gradually take over the businesses run by the governments of developing countries, and tighten the noose around our neck. During 1970-1977, the West couldn’t do it. After the 1977 election, the West got JR to set the scene. Then RP, DBW, CBK, & RW (2001- Mar 2004) did the rest. The USAID / US Embassy oversaw privatisation only to ensure that the SL government creates a smooth path for US / multinational companies to buy our assets. The US was not in love with our country and never will be. They are here only to protect & expand their interests.

So hold onto those money losing assets and then get loans to cover those losses ? That vicious cycle ended with all of us at the fuel queues followed by a VAT ! And I’m not even talking about a port without ships nor an airport without planes nor a worthless massive column in the middle of Colombo. I agree privatization wasn’t done correctly (even Karu says that) but that’s not an excuse for not doing it. People are quick to defend “gov assets” but the real beneficiaries of these assets are the politicians! Until this is realized, Sri Lanka will continue to be Sri Loan-ka ! What a shame.
Country's economy has been gradually ruined by each ruler since 1970 ! Country's nations have been divided since 1956 ! Other than, DS, DUDLEY, Sir John, W Dahanayake (6 mths), all 13 rulers up to now) should be treated as traitorous on grounds ! For the bankruptcy now experiencing in, all those rulers should be accountable and penalized ! Dharma Sri, thank you for your weighty presentation for our education !
