Is there any particular reason why you're using the oval instead of the test button (square and triangle)? Wouldn't the test button waste less material? Very helpful video though. More helpful than any of US Cutter's instructions. We're going to use this method the next time we have to change the blade.

Is there a way to make the cutting head come to the starting point at the end of each cut?

Yes. Take the slack out of the roll so it doesn't pull the film and cause the shift under the pinch rollers when it jerks.

I’m on my way to pick up a used titan 3 I’m wondering if it’s compatible with window film?

Yes but only with a few softwares. Most pattern software does not work.

Hey Ralph, I think the software has an adjustment somewhere to push the film out further after the cut is complete. I have seen it but can't find it again, I am sure tech support would be able to state where you can find it.

Also, I have started to add teflon tape on top of the teflon strip about 2 layers, I just remove the tape as necessary as it is cheaper than the strip.

Another tip, I just use some scrap tint and cut the tint on the table using the blade holder to get it close prior to installing it in the plotter...again, the teflon strip is important and although not expensive, it's not cheap to if you have to replace it often.

question,why you dont want the blade to cut the liner too?

If you cut all the way through, you will lose the structure of the film. Everything will crumble and fall apart and or rip the carriage off the machine.

Do you advice to buy this potter for window tints installation?

90g is too deep for vinyl. Haven't found a recommended chart for materials.

Instead of removing and afjusting the blade, why didnt you just adjust the forced pf the blade

The force is more of a fine tune adjustment. You start with your blade adjustment around the 90g force range and then start adjusting force up as you need.

I will never buy a titan 3 again. They are junk especially when the warranty runs out. I will be going with Graphtec or Roland best brands and products in the industry.
