This is my first first ever KZbin comment. I've been a fan of yours since your HRG days. 74 year old here, and the first family car I can remember was our '55 Buick Special station wagon. I remember my mom taking my brother and I somewhere and suddenly pull over, stop and turn around in her seat and yell at us, "if you two don't stop fooling around I'm going to murder you." We climbed all the way to the back and just laughed. Good times. I"m excited to follow this project.

I was 13 when I started the project and I drove that thing into the ground till I was 17 and bought my first Real car, a 65 Malibu super sport with a 327 and a 4 speed muncie. By the time I was done with the Chevelle I was running low 12 to high 11's at Iwindale And OCIR. Thanks for sending me on the walk down memory lane. Another cool project. I was a Buick dealer line tech for many years. The first GM V8 engines had one common vulnerability. At around 60,000 mi. onward, the timing chain would stretch & "jump time". The problem became more common when GM went to a "nylon" covered cam sprocket(noise reduction) that just wore smooth. I bought countless classic 60's Chevy's etc. from parked for years (like yours) with "blown engine" lol, that just needed a new timing set, i usually got running again in a day or so & flipped.
