Alces alces is called a "moose" in North American English, but an "elk" in British English. The word "elk" in North American English refers to a completely different species of deer, Cervus canadensis, also called the wapiti.

Canadian over here, fun fact we actually only have Elk in mostly western parts of Canada; BC and Vancouver Island ( Most Elk are down in the States). That was a Moose as everyone is stating, and the wife and I call packs of them Meese's, just like a pack of Canadian Geese's . Very amazing animals with a very odd temperament when feeling out of place, threated hence why they are so dangerous. Keep up the amazing videos! We appreciate the hard work done!

Elk is the original word for a „moose“. The first settlers didn’t know how an elk looks like and named the wapiti as elk. And then they used the Algonquin word „moose“ to name the elk. Similar to buffalo which are actually bison.

If you look closely on the legs of the elephant in Sri Lanka you can see chains. They also have long wooden sticks. That means that the elephant was beaten while being “trained”, elephants are often beaten and traumatized to perform silly tricks. Many of these elephants are being rescued and if the damage is undone they release them back to the wild

Actually… Raja used to be a logging elephant. When the logging ended, he retired, and greatly enjoyed swimming! He died back in 2016, as a very old boi. He was not abused. Many elephants have steel tethers, simply due to how big they are. Nylon or hemp just snaps, or gets eaten. Steel does not. Raja had a good life after logging

I love elephants. I love my dog but when he was a puppy and he shit in the house, he would get swatted. Now he doesn't do it anymore! To train any animal, there has to be reward and discipline. Otherwise it's just a wild animal. If you release a trained elephant into the wild, it wouldn't know how to survive. They also could be hunted for their ivory. Just for fun....even a wild child needs discipline!!!
