55 miles is not terribly far to go off road, unless you're riding a a bone stock, hard tailed 200cc mini bike. Will it break? Will I break? Would you do it?
I had an amazing time on this trip, but I'm not too keen on taking this mini bike for a round two. It's much better suited for putting around the ranch.

lol, nice ride, good day for it. It reminds me of 3 friends decided to go mountain bike riding in Maine. They are from CT. so Friday afternoon, they loaded up their bike and off to Maine. That night, they grabbed a motel in Maine for the weekend, not far from where they were going to ride. Sat. about 08:30 they jump on the bikes and go, they were running hard, jumping, climbing, on and off trails and footpaths. Being in a hurry to go, they forgot a few things, water, snacks, GPS, radios, and gas. Their plan was to bring gas and things, set up a small camp site to keep the things there so they can refill, eat, rest before heading back to the motel. Well, forgetting all their needs, and having a blast, they ran out of gas. Cells didn't work, no GPS to figure out where they were, Around 04:00 sunday morning one was so pissed, and not sure what to do, he let out a loud yell, within s few seconds they heard a howl and barking that they thought was a wolf. lol. Well lucky, it was a dog, there was a hunting cabin not far away with a few hunters, and when their dog started howling and barking they put him on a lead and bingo. Help arrived. They were real lucky.

On mine I stand on the pegs for any jump or dip. For what's really just a street frame with balloon tires it does pretty well off-road for basic trails. I have no complaints about the front suspension whatsoever, in that context, but wish the bike had a front brake like the late Monster Moto B212 bike it's obviously based on. Someone else said this GX200 design alters its valve clearance (it increases) when hot. To compensate for that, on my first valve adjustment attempt I made them too tight and had NO compression: valves didn't fully close and I earned myself a carb backfire on the first pull of the rope, which also pulled too easily of course.)

"Do a Wheelie!!!" xD I've got an air cooled 175cc 2 stroke swap coming for you by Christmas! You'll have all the grunt this mini bike is begging for lol. Seriously fun and beautiful ride in central Oregon!!! Most of these viewers don't know what they're missing out on. Too bad about the fires destroying that first half.... I can tell you this though.. The bike won't break, I broke, and I 1000000% wouldn't do it on my own accord. Serious kudos for toughing it out the whole trip. Can't wait to see what adventures the swap brings ;-)

It's pretty good actually. I think I filled up 2 times on this trip. Probably gets 30-40mpg off road.

One day I'll get some better camera equipment. I'm just using a cheap mount strapped to my chest or head. It's not great, but gimbals are expensive.

@@ironridgeoutdoors I finally bought a scooter. It's a BX200. I made a mount that attaches to my dolly cart. Now when I ride, I've got my dolly cart behind me. I strapped a tub to the cart so I can haul all kinds of things with me. I barely know it's even behind me. Give it a try.

@@ironridgeoutdoors the specs I saw say the tank is 0.36 US gallons so call it less than 1.25 gallons. That is consistent with other posters on this model.. as always, mileage depends on where and HOW you drive. Crusing is one number and hill clmibing is another! Thanks Bro

Junk compared to a real dirt bike from a Japanese brand? Absolutely. Junk for a $600 Chinese bike? Not so fast, now. It's awesome for what it is; a cheap, reliable, capable and fun little mini bike. I still have this and use it weekly to take the trash down the driveway.

@@ironridgeoutdoors I'm just saying that for a little bit more, you could get a Trailmaster with full suspension, rear swingarm and disc brakes. But I guess a Coleman is fine for taking out the trash.

@@thehappyhermit01 I bought this for $600 on sale a bit ago. At the same time the trailmaster was $1100. For $1100, I'd rather get a used xr100.
