looks good, just which tape to use for me, got my car ceramic coated/ppfed. I got 4 boxes (100 ft each/300 bulbs on each LED ofc) but mine connect and I only have two doors. not gonna plan the layout but I’m hoping I spent enough cause I didn’t think it would be this expensive lol

Paint was fine, but you have to strip any type of wax off of your car to get the tape to stick properly which may make you a little nervous.

There is battery power packs w 12v port and ac ports, how about using that for powering the lights? Just take out the battery pack out and charge it overnight.

Does the tape last for about 1-2 months and will it do well outside? I park my car outside and I’m worried that the tape won’t stick due to weather. Thank you for the informative video!

@thebigfries3576 The tape mostly lasts a couple months at least. I do garage keep mine, but I don't think my friend is able to. You have to take all of the wax off of your car and make sure you press the tape down well. The lower areas take most of the abuse and you'll need to watch them more closely. No damage to the paint but the adhesive residue can be a bit of a pain to get completely off. Just when you think it's all off you'll see spots getting dirty where there's still adhesive.

I have a model S and want to do this to my car, any suggestions on how much feet of lights I’d need? (I have around 300) rn. Also if I tape it more closely would it lessen paint damage and just be more annoying to take off?

Really depends on how good you want it to look - more lights are generally better. Not sure what you mean by tape it more closely.

Has anyone used the 3m tape on a vinyl wrapped tesla?

My hood is wrapped in Matte Metallic Black and the tape kind of messed it up in some spots. The tape can leave a little residue on the car/paint in places that comes off pretty easily. On the wrap it looks like residue, but I can't get it off or make it look better. Luckily only my hood is wrapped and I plan to change it anyway. So not sure what would happen to yours... Oh, it's no issue on the places I have ppf.
