Its intended for carpet only. It seems like you can attach a floor piece for it tho. Found a video on the tool and a website for it as well. Once I'm done with the detergent, I like to add plain water to the tank, and go over the carpet again to rinse. It makes the carpet so soft! Some of these detergents can leave behind a sticky residue, that in my experience, eventually makes more dirt stick to the carpet.

That machine works really well, only thing I'd recommend is letting the solution soak for a couple of minutes to break down the particles, rather than spray and scrub right away like he was doing. Especially for heavier areas
@FrankEdavidson Жыл бұрын
I'd a different cleaner and yes, let the solution dwell for a bit. I used a lance spray bottle with cleaning solvent diluted to normal solution to spot treat heavier stains. Some stains are 'fixed', i.e. made more permanent with heat so there's always that to look out for.

These machines are must have for anyone who has kids &/or pets (or not)! The extraction is absolutely needed to get “accidents” up and out of the carpet/upholstery to get the crud out of the house!! One thing, is I always go back and do a clear water rinse extraction or else when the leftover cleaner dries, it is a MAGNET for dirt and dust, and before you know it everything looks as dirty (or even dirtier) than it did before! You might not have to use the cleaning machine again so soon. 😊

Be careful using too much and too often as you may cause the inner working parts to deteriorate way quicker than they would naturally.
@pjo19644 жыл бұрын
I would be careful using Clorox with other chemicals because it is dangerous to mix it with ammonia or vinegar or alcohol and other chemicals and you could actually die. Also you can't use Clorox on colored rugs because it will fade it out. If you're using a plane then you could spot clean with Clorox on a white rug if nothing else was working. Be very careful what chemicals you mix together.
@allrock12382 жыл бұрын
On the right hand side (if you are standing behind it) of the machine there is a three position switch, that controls the amount of solution being put down in a given amount of time , if you have a lightly soiled carpet (switch set all the down) and the cleaner spays down a small amount of solution letting you clean a lightly soiled area and greatly conserve detergent and the carpet will dry quite quickly. ,, The middle position is good for normal cleaning ,, the top position is for carpets that are very deeply soiled and this puts down a ton of solution under pressure to get at deep ground in dirt and stains , I normally clean on the middle position for general use,, then switch to Max (top position) for sections of carpet that have a lot of deeply ground in dirt or stains .. it gives you the chose of the amount of solution you put down by controlling the solution sprayer pressure, just wetting the top layer on low or blasting the solution deep down on max . with "normal use between ..

You can run it back and forth to pick up...but if you notice when you spray its when it really picks up ALL THE DIRT...I would spray a good amount on the whole carpet let it sit for like 3-4 minutes so it can loosen all the dirt.....then i would spray forward and pick it up going backwards..to try and lift everything...after that just do dry back and forths to pick up as much as possible....hope this works out for you!

I bought this recently, after buying and discarding three top top of the range VAX carpet shampooers in the last 5 years, all of which broke , shorted and none of which had a hand hose that sprayed properly. After my last Vax broke, bought in 2020 and used only about 7 times- the brushes stopped rotating and I was quoted £90 for a new motor for them; I decided “ENOUGH!” Time to try a different company. After hours of research, and trying to decide between this and a Rug Doctor model, I decided on this model. It is brilliant. The hand tube nozzle works BRILLIANTLY. I’ve never experienced that with the Vax models. The spray is STRONG and fans out like it’s supposed to do … unlike the dribble all the Vax nozzles did😒 It even removed an old stain that TWO the Vaxes failed to remove. The brushes really do whip up the pile and the stain disappear magically. So refreshing and pleasing after wasting so much money on the others. I LOVE all the different tools this came with. ( unlike the Vax) Very, VERY happy. Thank you Bissell. Worth every penny. Feels like 100% quality.

I know this was posted a while ago but had to comment on your use of Oxyclean. I tested 3 things. (Just poured a little in a 5" diameter). 1) hot water 2) White Vinegar 2) a mixture of water/Oxyclean and a little dawn dish soap. I let it sit for 5-10 minutes then ran the Bissell over it. Water and Vinegar had almost ZERO difference. The Oxyclean mixture was actually astounding. I must have said "Holy ___" about 10 times. Thanks for the tip! (PS - not a fan of any soap in the carpet so I will eliminate the Dawn next time. It was already pre-mixed from a chore I had done a couple days ago and I was out of just Oxyclean)

How long did it take for the carpet to dry? I have 2 dogs soooo do I need to wait 6 hours outside with my dogs before we can walk on it lol. Also, I would think oxyclean would bleach your carpet 😮. Kinda surprised it didn't. I shampooed a carpet once in an old home it turned my carpet YELLOW!. I think it was that shampoo from Walmart. The machine you rent. The shampoo cleaner turned my carpet yellow. Have you had that problem with this bissell and the shampoos. I'm scared it will turn my living room carpet yellow
@559powerscape Жыл бұрын
If you do it in the evening, it should be pretty dried in the morning. OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover Free is chlorine bleach-free. Maybe it was the previous users that added bleach to the machine and it was still in the system. It shouldn't bleach the carpet, you should be good. Never had any issues with the chemicals. Good luck 👍

When you run out of that expensive solution stuff, use peroxide as a base, a dash of laundry detergent, and a dash of bleach! Works amazingly! I found oxy clean to leave a chalky residue afterwards without rinsing it a million times hahah. Great video!
@ceedy.duce_22914 жыл бұрын
Egg Gorl Comics that is fine but be careful with that the paint that they use on the bristles can bleed off into the carpet causing a stain that you will not, I repeat you will not be able to get out so be careful on the different ones. Be careful with the peroxide.
