Not many people get to live out a dream as your family is. You seem very conscientious and intelligent people and hard workers and that has clearly paid off you both in spades. I am sure you have looked into the location of your new home and all its needed amenities for off-grid living. It is clear too that in your own design of this new dwelling to find the right builder was also time-consuming. But as a builder myself of both Commercial High Rises and Custom Homes as well as Timber Framing, I don't know if someone told you that this house is a "Log Cabin" design, or it is something that just came from your heart. Either way to a knowledgeable person listing to your repeated reference to this structure as a "Log Cabin" is so far off the mark of its true definition that these references from you both do not serve you well in knowledge and or perhaps your Ego as well being so fortunate to do this costly development. This is not meant to be a harsh criticism but a form of a wake-up call, a very well knowledgeable viewer suggesting perhaps it is best that you take a good look as to how you are presenting yourself around the world. Is this really what you want?
