Audio is controlled by the main menu, needs set as Tx/Rx, sounds like you got that set wrong, just hold the menu button down to enter the main menu. 6yrs late since you posted, enjoyed the video, and I also enjoy my 6900n & 9900. 73's 407 Mcr Uk 👋

Just watched this video - nice repair. I've just got one of these opened up in front of me now and can confirm that there are no other missing parts. The original missing capacitor is a 562, but you're fine with what you fitted without having the service information to hand. If it's audio coupling and if in doubt then fit a 0.1uf as you did - no harm done!

I know this post is quite old but Ive just found it and Im thinking that missing part on the circuit board is probably the CTC ,not fitted as an extra. Are the AT 6666 any good at all? Thanks.

I have just bought a new AT-6666,, and it has no AM audio, plenty of noise on SSB and FM, and the TX power is low,, would you be interested in looking into it for me. I have never removed the covers.

scott the faulit with the grant 2 was the clarifier itself . Replaced clarifier receiving 12 oclock on the dial .And the transmitter is working there was a incorrect transistor fitted...

It works just like my Magnum 1 Totally programmable I can make any channel whatever frequency I want

changed the mic over for a president mic..problem cured although up/dwn on mic is not wired correct ptt works fine and no jumping around freq.

Hello Defpom's Electronics & Repair. I have an Anytone AT-6666 when I turn on my power supply I turn on my Anytone I work well but in a matter of seconds it goes off and does not turn on. My power supply tells me FAULT. I’ve never done that before. I have an analyzer and it’s telling me it’s crossed.You guys get radios by mail for repair.

When I transmit on 6666 in any mode , get an error DC LOW. Using a 30Amp supply. It was just fine till one day. Any idea what could be the issue?

Measure your voltage at full power FM Tx. Switch low voltage detect off in the menu

My radio was lying on reception on 3 reviews bala.Po many correspondent of radio lies between 2 and 4 balov.Ne want to open all the boxes undermining iron and not the fact that what the box will control :)

High impedance mic audio will be low if impedance of other mic dont suit 60watts normaly an ppl are winding them up to 80but the heatsink is crap an regs cook on the side

That is a good question, this radio didn't need adjusting, but I could not see any trimmers anyway, they could be inside one of the larger metal boxes, I didn't open those up as they were soldered shut.

what about the common jumping of channel/freq problem,,my 6666 does this and i know a few other people who,s 6666 does the same thing,,,nice radio but QC is dire.

cheap crap chinese junk radio, what do you want for the money... to stop the jumping replace the VFO/channel encoder for a more quality built item..
