Interesting comments on automotive design. I heard an interview with one of the Honda designers and he was saying that clay modelling is still really important for body shape development - if they go straight from sketches to 3d it's too easy to lose the gesture in those "acceleration curves".

Density and complexity in vfx actually ruined cinema quality for hollywood in particular. I automatically consider any vfx blockbuster total crap by default these days. It just got boring and repetitive and depressing to see 3D falling into this.
