There is ALWAYS a way to modify! Love how you made it happen. Looks like it pulls hard!

Some how we figure thing out. Might take 2 or 3 attempts at it but we finally get it. Compared to it stock it definitely does I feel like a idiot for not getting any video of before I modified the intake. The 029 carb and bigger pipe definitely let it breath. I'm sure the dual pipe muffler with a bigger carb would be fine I just get picky about splitting single cylinder exhaust pulses. Glad you enjoyed!

Nice how to, there's a bunch of guys with bigger carbs on these my self included but no how to videos. If you make the manifold so the boot/pipe is flush with the plastic holder everything else lines up better as the bigger/longer carb will be farther ahead. You could cut the boot you made off flush with the carb holder and jam a piece of pipe in it to hold it in place, that's basicly what I have on mine with a chinese 365 carb. I have no weird throttle issues after bending the throttle arm a bit.

I did check it and the boot protrudes out some for a bit better seal. The carb is a bit longer then the factory one. Trying to make it work where it sits back more was the hard part as I wanted to keep the original boot style without putting a peice of tube in it to get hot and cause the bottom end to run hotter. The throttle issue is because I didn't bend the throttle rod enough to allow for the antivibe to work properly without the gas tank and handle pushing the throttle open. I haven't pulled things apart wasn't going to tell after the video. Sometime in the next week or so I will get to it. Been a bit more focused on this 55 build.

@@rncboy2 The piece of pipe in my intake is about a 1/4 inch long, I doubt it adds heat to anything, its just long enough the keep the intake round at the holder/isolater. You can beef up the anti vibe mounts easily, I did it to 2 of these saws. Buy a new rubber mount kit and put a rubber mount where the spring mount is and put longer bolts in the top rears ones with hose on it to fill the void, this stiffens them up a lot.

is your carb 58cc or 52cc?

Actually 56cc it's a stihl ms290 carb as the ms390 has a bit to big of jets for this saw.
