Hi Peter, another great video to this series and that boring head, that's really nice. The series is great because what's being made, we will see it in use, unlike most parts they get machined and then shipped to customer and the viewer never see it in use or context. I was also really impressed at how steady the pictures are with that drone, wow. Keep up the great work, you really have a great channel here.

I like your videos very much! I'm sorry that I don't know your name but I've watched quite a few of your videos and I like your techniques. I've been machining since I was 18, so that would be 16 years now. I now have worked my way up to an Applications Engineer for Meredith Machinery in Indianapolis, Indiana for the past 3 years now. I like your machining videos and keep them coming please!

Peter, congrats on the new subs! The drone footage was an incredible demo of the video stabilization it has. Four months seems a bit long to wait for the drone, but it looks like it was well worth the wait. I am sure that you will have a lot of fun with it and get lots of fantastic video footage. Peace!like

Thanks Jeffery! It was a long time but the drone fly's great. Later next month I'm going to Mexico it came just in time. I will post some drone footage of Guanajuato and my construction project when I get back. The city is a beautiful colonial city that dates back to the mid 1500's.

Excellent! I am sure that many will enjoy watching the videos of Guanajuato. There are many great places throughout Central and South America that have a rich and diverse history and would be great places to visit or live in. I hope you have a great trip and your project far exceeds your expectations. Godspeed!

Thanks for another great video. One suggestion, could you add a text overlay stating what WOC, DOC, speeds and feeds and what type and brand of tool is being used on each step?

GP Tech , Thanks for the comment. I will do that in the future.

Nice work Peter. What is that black thing with the red light in the upper right of the mill enclosure? That drone is cool.
@EdgePrecision7 жыл бұрын
The Renishaw Spindle Probe uses that to transmit and receive its signal. I'm looking forward to taking the drone to Mexico to do some aerial video of my building and surrounding city of Guanajuato. Should be going the end of this month.

I see a box on your desk marked "used carbine inserts". What do you do with used carbide inserts ?

I will probably sell them to the scrap man.

This series is great! Thanks again Peter. The drone footage was excellent, very stable! After this series is finished and your set up making the stops, I'd like to order one. How can we get in touch so I can do this? Oh ya....(whispering), since I am the first one to ask to order, can I get serial #0001? 😊 Thanks!!

ski rifles , Thanks glad your liking it. The drone thing was just a afterthought I just received it Friday. I was so impressed with it that I included a clip. You can reach me at peter@edge-pre.com. I have never actually sold anything over the internet. So I have to learn how to do that. I do want to sell these and I have other ideas as well.

Why didn't you just use the endmill and pocket the bearing hole out, sneak up on the final dimension.?
@chiefmachining79727 жыл бұрын
Because a boring bead is the correct way bearing race.
