I love that these are always 15-30 minute videos, they give me a chance to unwind and get my mind off of stuff for a decent amount of time. :) also I think I might be getting snapchat solely because I want to see your snaps (or whatever the kids call it, heh..)

I think you're so brilliant. I love how you explained the texting situation. 24/7 interaction feels suffocating and not natural. I hope to one day find someone like minded ahaha.

Ritz pb sandwiches were my fav snack growing up! This video was great, esp. about texting because the way you bring things up is to encourage others to be reflective. Also Snickers? Omg, how cute.

Great advice on making sure you get tattoos for the right reason. Thanks on that. I had kind of wanted small gauges in my ears, and a controlling bf I was with (though I didn't recognize this behavior as controlling at the time) pressured me (in the moment we were at a piercing place, not for me, but just looking to see if his friend was there), to get my ears pierced at an 8 gauge with a big hollow needle and no anesthesia, by SOME KID, who happened to be working there who had little experience (i realized, after my ears were pierced at different angles...). I never before then was a doormat or pushover kind of person, but sometimes a controlling person sneaks into your life and you don't even realize it for awhile. He got mad and told me I was "no fun" for not wanting to get my ears pierced that day by that guy, so rather than fight or walk out and feel embarrassed by his scene, I gave in. And I totally regret it, because there are tons of places and people who are professionals.
@X3000Chan8 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, and I also got in trouble at work and looked super unprofessional in this very professional place I was working at the time because he would text me at work and purposefully say something that he knew I'd feel I'd have to respond to. Because I had to work for a full 8+ hrs, and he couldn't have attention during that time, so he'd find a way through texting. Amazing how I was always anxious and miserable at that time but didn't recognize that he was toxic because I thought I was all in love. Glad I got out of that bs and regained my identity! Still have the big holes in my ears, but they've closed up a lot (only 8 gauge like I said), so I can wear "14 pinchers still, or bigger "regular" earrings studs with little flowers or whatnot. Because my style has changed over the years too. I still dig gauged ears, but my style is a little more dainty now. Not so hard edged. ;* Glad I didn't follow him on his tattoos, because I always thought they pretty much sucked anyway. Haaa ;D

when I got tattooed I spoke to the guy for a while, then just sat and listened to the shops music and it was super chill and great and the hours flew by. I also took a friend, but I checked with my artist first,

Ugh I know that tattoo nervousness feeling all too well. I was in Wildwood NJ conveniently during the tattoo convention this past August, and so i decided to go just to get one, because it was a convention! Had to, right? I kind of wish I hadn't, it's my most visible tattoo out of the 4 i have(on my forearm), and i have negative feelings towards it & want to possibly cover it up. Do not ever think lightly about tattoos! Learned my lesson lol

I don't like going alone because of social anxiety. me and my husband talk during the day like you and John do also, we just text each other funny pictures.

everything you were saying about the texting thing and how you felt suffocated and felt like you were up to no good when you weren't, is legit how i always felt in my last relationship because he would do the same thing, where i would be at work and he'd get in a fight with me when he knew i couldn't respond.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about a year now and we are getting into the "I don't have to talk to you all day" kinda thing and it's soooooo nice. We never get mad if it takes 7hours to reply or if we don't text at all one day.

Tattoo etiquette. :) The tattoo artist I go to is so chill, she's done most of my tattoos for me and I can trust her and her husband to do a good job. We catch up with eachother when she does my tattoos but I do check social media while she's tattooing me..just to get my mind off of the pain for a while. 😊 The last part about the whole relationship thing was my first relationship while I was in school..high school. I was just a kid and my ex was exactly like that. He had to know where I was and who I was with..and it is abusive but then I didn't know it. I had to have permission to do things and he didn't like me wearing makeup or "dressing nice" he would always think I was cheating on him and I never was. I wasn't allowed to have friends, especially if they were guys or guys I knew for a long time. But with him..he could do whatever he wanted. He had a ton of friends that were girls..prettier an thinner than me and he made me feel ugly all the time. I'm happy I got away.

@itsbekasaur9 жыл бұрын
They want to be a part of your big moment! As long as they aren't getting the same thing it will still be special for you! Be happy. Most families don't agree with their children getting tattoos
@X3000Chan8 жыл бұрын
True.. it's nice that your family approves, but, it's ok to want your personal space for your own personal experience too. Families can be well-meaning and accepting, but still at the same time quite pushy and controlling. Like "We want to be there." Without asking, "Would you mind if we joined you?". It can be hard to say no to them if they are good people and you love them. But sometimes you have to muster up the courage to tell them that you appreciate their support, but that you want to do this or that on your own. And then you have to stick to your guns and not feel guilty about saying no. I'm way older than 18, and my family is good, but I still have trouble saying no to my parents and fighting to live my life my way. In the end, it's YOUR experience and you have to envision them being there, or not there, and make up your OWN mind on what you want that experience to be. It's awesome to have support, but don't forget that your life and your experiences belong only to only YOU. :)

okay, I have one question for you. What are your opinion for a cream that numbs the pain of being tattooed? In Norway (where I live) it's really split on if people think these kind of creams are okay or not. Some tattoo artist will refuse too tattoo if you even ask them about their opinion of these kind of creams. So I'm wondering, since you talked about the pain about getting tattoed in this video.
@cassiestapp1578 жыл бұрын
I think she's ok with creams that numb the pain of being tattooed, she has at least one video on her channel where she talks about using a cream/gel to help with the pain. :)

@makailalindsay43188 жыл бұрын
Your tattoo artist would rather you do something to take your mind off rather than focusing on the pain. I have anxiety& I cant focus while being tattoo'd. I also can't go all in one go. I have to stop and take a smoke break halfway through (depending on how large the tattoo is) So, just get a tattoo artist that is cool with what youre comfortable with. My tattoo artist knows me. His wife does my piercings. I went to school with his son. His sons girlfriend was my best friend. So, they totally understand my panic disorder. They're also usually cool with you coming in a few times and, if they arnt busy, hanging out and getting to know them.
